Really the only place in Sherwood park for serious shooters. London Drugs is the only other option Onsuppose.
As an outlet, they often don’t have what you are after, but they are happy to order it from the downtown location and it can usually be there in a day.

Seems like the staff know their stuff and are friendly and helpfull.

Picked up a new lens for my Canon at McBain Sherwood Park, they had what I needed in stock and cleaned my DSLR prior to install & testing it. Good service, friendly staff so many places would need to have ordered it, I was somewhat astonished.

I haven’t actually ever been into McBain Camera at this location but I have walked past it hundreds of times in the mall — always looks clean and organized.
A few months back I hosted a customer appreciation golf tournament for one of our largest accounts (I work on the sales team for a trucking company). We took pictures of each team and as a memento we wanted to send a picture to every participant. We were looking for some standard picture frame/​folder type things (the ones you open like a book and then the pic is framed in the inside). We also wanted to do the same thing for our company golf tourney. All this together required about 120 picture folders. I phoned around to various companies to get pricing and availability and, although McBain was not the cheapest, they definitely were the most helpful and had the best customer service. I had the pleasure of dealing with Drew who was more than helpful. He was very patient with me when I was shopping around. I eventually chose McBain. He ordered them in for me and told me it would take about 2 weeks — the order came in about 10 days and Drew phoned me right away to tell me they were in and I sent an associate to pick them up for me. I also dealt with a few other people there in Drew’s absence and they were all great!
In terms of customer service alone — this company definitely deserves the 5 stars in my opinion.

I was very impressed by the no pressure environment here. The helpful associate let me play with various lenses and cameras with a smile on her face.
When I returned to make a purchase the transaction went quickly and I made a hassle free exchange a few days later when I had decided to upgrade my camera within the return period.
I always check this McBain location first when I am looking for something, however their on-​hand stock isn’t the greatest due to the size of the store, though they can get anything from another location in a couple of days.
