Ordered a hotdog with Mustard & Relish. Pretty simple right ? Well — got it and it was cold, the bun was broken and everything leaked out and no relish — but there was ketchup. Hate ketchup ! New I shouldn’t have gone here but the selections at the airport are terrible !! Vera’s horrible !!

A tasty burger is what you’ll get from here. However, the only thing is that you’ll definitely pay for it if you think about adding fries and a drink to your meal. The burger was tasty. Fresh. Thick and juicy. I like my burgers the same way I like my… Woah. Think I’ve been stuck in this airport too long. You want a tasty burger this is your place. They lost a star because of the insane price.

Few choices near my gate and they had a veggie burger on the menu so I was sold. The veggie burger was just ok. Cold bun and then too much sauce combined with a very soft patty made it a mess to eat. The fries were excellent though and you get a big serving(enough for two). 12.65 with a drink so reasonable price.

The first thing I wanted when flying back from Asia is a nice tasty burger. There isn’t a very wide selection of items in the domestic terminal of Vancouver however this looked like a good place. It’s very nice when you get to a place that serves fast food but doesn’t taste like fast food. The burger and all the toppings were beautifully cooked and fresh. The sweet potato fries were very flavourful and it comes with a very nice chipotle sauce. If your in a pinch and craving a burger when caught in the airport I highly recommend it.

Don’t eat here, mediocre burger for a high price. Not to mention they got my order wrong after I clarified it twice. Burger was tasteless and lacked seasoning and although the fries ate supposed to be deep fried that shouldn’t be dripping with grease.

The short of it: — located in the C gate area food court — tasty burger — topping options for extra — fast and friendly service The long of it: The food options near my gate location were not too exciting. I pretty much only had a choice of getting sandwiches, some rice bowl place, or Vera’s burger. I opted for the burger because I saw the line was long and I was hoping that was a sign of a good burger. I was pretty happy with my burger, it’s not in n out but it was way better than the other food options nearby. I got a Vera burger and added cheese and grilled onions(which they call fried onions here… not sure why). The burger was pretty big, the patty was huge and juicy and the Vera sauce which is like a garlic mayo was pretty good. I liked that my burger came with lettuce and tomato. Overall, not a bad choice if you are looking for something to eat in this terminal.

Very dissatisfied. The burger was nothing special and the fries were mediocre at best. Poor value for your money. Why do we always have to settle for expensive, crappy food at airports? … Or anywhere for that matter.

I’ve had a Vera burger once before, at a now closed location in Surrey. I remember it being quite tasty. I found this location to be below average. Having worked in food service in the past, I know there are many options for the hungry public, so you try within reason to give them what they want. I saw that they had a breakfast sandwich on the menu so I asked if they would put a fried egg on a burger for me. She told me «No, we don’t have fried eggs». I asked her what they made the egg breakfast sandwich with and she told me «Omlette». One word answer, «Omlette». I asked if they would fry some of the egg on the grill I could see and put it in a burger and she said«No.». So I ordered the Vera burger with cheese, having been denied an egg which is what I really wanted. I was disappointed to see the burger was pre-cooked and just warmed up on the grill. I can go to Wendy’s for half the price if I knew that’s what I would receive. The taste was average, the English-as-a-third-language service was pathetic and the price was higher than the value of the product I received. There are MANY other options out there, I would suggest you try them well before eating at Vera’s.

What a disappointing burger! I have seen Vera’s Burger Shack all over Vancouver so I figured it must be pretty good. As I was heading to my gate at YVR, I figured why not grab a quick burger before my flight? Well, I ordered the 6 ounce vera burger, the classic choice topped with ketchup, mustard, relish, lettuce, tomato and Vera’s Sauce. I ordered the burger plus a water and it came to $ 9.32 after tax. Wow, was I disappointed with the burger patty! It tasted soooo processed, I thought I was eating at McDonalds. There was no real flavour or juice to the patty! I know I am a bit spoiled with the fabulous family run burger joints in Winnipeg but Vera’s wouldn’ t survive in Winnipeg. The toppings tasted fresh and the Vera’s sauce is okay, but nothing memorable. The bun was also a bit dry and disappointing. Too bad!
