This is for Telus in general. Stay away from them .I signed up with Telus tv/internet in 2013. Telus offered 3 Telus box. Telus box will be $ 15 a month and the other box will be free. Ok that’s fine. Two years later, one box went caput, so they send new me a new box this was in 2015. So now comes 2016, I phone them to activate this box that was sent a year ago. The box activation didn’t exactly went smooth. My other box in the family room somehow got deactivated. So phone them and complained and told them to put the cable again in the family room. So they did put it back, so I asked them what would it takes to hook up this box that was sent to me a year ago. I was told they have to send the technician so they did. So the technician came May 18th, 2016. To my surprise he came in with another box to installed the sattelite, I said ok, I get another box. I told him you can take the old Telus box send to me by Telus in 2015. He came in hook up the box ok tv is on. However at around 10pm I went into the family room tv was disconnected. Back to square one again.10 pm hits I phone Telus to cancel everything.

So far still positive with my Internet and TV service with Telus. Came to check out the optic fiber internet because I had enough with its competitor and how the service is wonky. I just got to the point, I had enough. So I remember one time visiting this store and they told me about the deals. It worked perfect because my area has optic fiber for a long time. So I signed up and yes I got a free TV but that will be delivered 3 to 4 weeks after installation. I was fine with that. So made an appointment for installation on April 2 at 8 am — 9 am. The appointment was booked back in beginning of March. After I made the appointment, I called their competitor to cancel. In end of March, I got a call from Telus rep and said they were coming April 15. I was shocked. I recall it was Saturday and it was beginning of the month. Luckly I checked and called back and they did rescheduled me April 2. When they came, they told me my house was not prewired underground with optic fiber and yes they had to drill a whole into the house. I freaked out. They said if I wanted just regular cable internet it would take 72 hours for it to activate. First world Problem, I can’t wait 72 hours for internet! They said most new houses are not prewired with optic fiber. The tech pointed out to, my neighbor old houses and said«look it will be like that, Of course you will not have many wire just one thin wire.» He promised he will not make the wire too visible. So at the end, I said yes and he installed it. I was pretty happy with the installation. Its not too bad. Plus I did get consistent or kind of close to 100 mps internet as promised on wifi. Awesome. Now I am just waiting for my free 50 inch TV

We have a one year wifi contact with Telus. The connection is soooo poor, in order to finish a 20 mins video from the web, we’ll expecting 4 – 5 times of reloading. I’ll have to get my cell phone data turned on even at home because it gets disconnected so often!

We went in to check out their current promotion: sign a 2 year contract for cable and internet and receive a 50″ Samsung smart TV. The girl was relatively patient in explaining the different plans with us and the other guy told us they also offer tutorials in how to use their PVR’s etc in store. The store is medium sized with tablets on display and is kept nice and clean.

I never really care to walk into a phone place and expect great service. But I received the best customer service in a phone store. I never went with telus because I felt they are higher in phone plans overall. I just needed a pay as you go and he(Michael?) helped me out with the best option and tried to help me with a monthly plan if I had changed my mind to get away from prepaid. Ya. Some ppl might misconstrue this as up sell. But I didn’t feel pressured at all. Just knowledgeable info that I needed for later use. It was pleasant to get some help and walked away happy. Very quick and efficient. You just don’t ever get anyone happy to do their jobs these days but I was glad he was.

very arrogant, glad they won’t ever get my business, not even cable. I totally don’t mind in higher prices if it’s better service, but sales rep totally bashed Wind’s US carrier for their roaming – I had only asked what was the coverage in comparison to Telus. Don’t consider T-Mobile and Verizon(Wind’s partners) chumps either lol. Telus apparently uses AT&T. And to think I would just hand over $ to sign a 3-year contract(back in the day) is just nuts. PS. used Wind’s US roaming in Seattle, all day and all night, the freedom to surf anywhere and talk anytime UNLIMITED, well worth the $ 39/month, as I’m in states 2 – 3 times a month easily.

I need to make frequent trips to Canada and need to get SIM card, data plan and calling minutes from them for my cell phone. The data plan that’s good for a month in the States will be gone in 3 to 4 days with no heavy online activities. The calling plan has never been working but the minutes disappear mysteriously in 2 to 3 days. The store clerks are clueless and told me to contact tech support. The tech support couldn’t solve the problem and told me to go back to the store. The last tech support insisted that I made all those long distance calls and tough, you need to put in more money. She obviously didn’t understand what google voice was and insisted on her idiotic stubbornness. I’m buying a phone that will work in both countries so I don’t have to deal with this headache and rip-offs every time I go there. They deserve a minus 5 stars.
