I am giving it a 1 star now. The complaint of their«randomly disconnecting wifi» was not addressed. I’m usually here regularly and on average the wifi disconnects 3 – 4 times in an hour? I don’t know — I guess one would have experience it to tell how often it disconnects …

I know, it’s totally weird, I bitch about Starbucks in other coffee shop posts and now… I’m actually. going. to review. a Starbucks? Yeah, I am. See, I work out near YVR, and there really isn’t much of a choice in terms of independent/good coffee out here. There isn’t much of anything out here, really. On my way over the bridge to work every morning, I have gotten into the not-great-but-it-is-what-it-is habit of stopping at this particular Starbucks, at Garden City and Sea Island Way, which features a drive-through, to get my coffee in the morning. And I have to tell you, the staff here are fantastic. They recognize my voice/car on the monitor when I order through the drive-through, and always know what I want before I say it. They are quick and prompt, even when processing a huge line up of cars. They are very pleasant, thorough, and accommodating. They even put my Splenda INMYCOFFEE for me. So yeah, they get huge props from me. At times there are lineups of up to 10 cars in the drive-through in the morning, in which case I actually park and go INSIDE, and they are always just as pleasant inside as in the drive-through, and insanely efficient. So good job, team. You’re doing good work. Now if you could just make more-than-passable-better-than-nothing coffee, I’d be set.

Visited a Starbucks in Canada for the first time last weekend. This location is in Richmond and is a short distance away from Golden Village. It is close to the Richmond Night Market and was walking distance from the hotel I was staying while in town. This Starbucks has a drive thru which is a plus for people looking for their coffee fix without having to enter the store. But the drive thru took away square footage that could have been used on the interior. The interior of the coffee shop was a bit smaller than expected as a result. The offerings are pretty much in line with what you would find in the US. As usual, there is free Wi-Fi and they even serve La Boulange pastries here. If you are a Starbucks Rewards member in the US, you can use your card to pay for your purchase here. Your purchase will be converted from CAD to USD on your account and you will earn a star. If you are looking for your coffee fix in Richmond, this Starbucks is convenient with its drive thru. Though I find the interior to be so small that I would rather take my drink to go rather than lounge around here.

Brutally slow & inefficient. The staff had no process to the customer flow. Definitely avoid this location, and they got my drink wrong to boot.

Being one of the few transit accessible locations in Richmond, expect this one to get packed, especially during the mornings, however, by mid afternoon it dies down. Yes I went there twice since I had a gift card given by a fellow awesome Unilocaler. The place has a decent amount of seating and the layout is accessible. Customer service was awesome. I just had tea and hot water, therefore, no rocket science required in preparation.

I had a funny experience here. Being that I manage a Starbucks, I’m pretty critical when I go into others. I first noticed that they were pretty bare with their merchandise, especially whole bean coffee. Their pastry case was okay, though the sandwich display could be improved to better drive sales. The baristas were nice, followed best practice and the quality of beverages were also good. The one miss, though, was that the girl(who happened to be new) heard my name as «Ston» and therefore wrote«Ston» on my cup. It’s a practice of mine and my team to confirm name & spelling so silly mistakes like that don’t happen, but I still found it rather funny. I returned the next day and they were out of Soy, which totally sucks as there’s no alternative for those with a desire for a «milk» based beverage. That said, though, the barista went out of his way to make it right for me and that’s all I could ask for. I’ll keep going back as it’s close to home and the staff are pretty well better than any other Starbucks I’ve been to(aside from my own, of course ;)).

It’s not big but that doesn’t matter this location is designed for coffee on the run there aren’t many Starbucks that have a drive through and it beats the coffee at BK!

Their outdoor seating is supposed to be no smoking but the staff don’t seem to care. It’s very common for many people to be sitting outside smoking.

Although small, this is my favourite Starbucks. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I remember this one time I finished my order, got my drink, and sat down. A while later, they came by to offer everyone samples and the barista remembered my name(from taking my order) and addressed me by name when asking if I wanted a sample! That made me so happy! I love how detail oriented and friendly the staff are. Also, they have never, ever gotten my drink wrong.

What has the world come to, drive thru for coffee… can’t just burn a few more calories getting in & out of our car. well, it’s great for those rainy cold days. very small, narrow one, probably one of the darkest starbucks(maybe romantic?) don’t think of coming here in a group bigger than 2 ppl. only 2 lounge chairs, and 3 – 5 tables of 2. at least the washrooms are conveniently tucked away at the front ;)

Cute little corner store. Drive thru is convenient, but appears to be a little hard to get to. No worries for us though; we walked over from our hotel to hang out while we were waiting for our friends to pick us up. I was a little disappointed when they didn’t understand I wanted an Iced Americano with my treat receipt, but I’m not totally placing the blame on the baristas. I have a small feeling my husband possibly didn’t order it right.

This location’s staff’s friendly and experts in taking customed orders. I inquired what’s in their green tea latte and the cashier explained what into it and the process i went through. I proceeded to order 3 more customed drinks after the green tea latte. They did not mess up a single one. I left this location a very happy customer. One thing to note is that Trenta does not exist in canada yet so venti is still the biggest size.

Me and the car junkies meet here on occasion to ramble on about our new car parts and things in life. Things like track days and rallying and Unilocal. This happens to be one of my more favourite locations because it’s just outside of downtown Richmond, near Vancouver and parking is easy.

Went coffee hunting and ended up here. Parking is ample in this strip mall. Unfortunately it is a bit difficult to get to, so chances are you’ll drive right by it while looking at it from the wrong side of the road. I always thought this location was drive-thru only as there is a huge sign advertising this outside. But I guess that wouldn’t really make sense either. There is a patio outside as well as the interior seating. No couches or fireplace here though. When I first came in, the store was almost completely empty. Within 20 minutes, not only did the tables all fill up, but a small lineup formed as well. Guess the locals like coming here in the afternoon. Service was quick and friendly, and very clean. Then again, the entire mall looks pretty new in general.
