It’s a little Chinese supermarket hidden at Continental Mall. I don’t even recall how long they have been there… may be over 8 – 10 years… They used to have special and top grade of fruits imported from Thailand or China. If you buy whole pineapple or durian, they will cut/open it for you. In addition, they have sell special jasmine rice(8KG per bag) fr Thailand! You can smell the rice when it’s cooking… In general, most of the items it sells much cheaper than T&T! For example, Korean fresh frozen Udon only $ 2.99 per bag(5 udons), if T&T on sales is $ 3.99 otherwise, $ 4.99.

One of those little Chinese supermarkets that has been around, and survived the ever so ‘swarmed’ Richmond epicentre by the big bad T&T/Osaka entrance of dominance. This little place in the corner of Continental Square has some good produce here. As for vegetables and fruits, they occasionally have specials, and it’s more on the Chinese side of things, from Bok Choy, to Persimmons. Don’t go in here looking for meat and fish, as those things are mostly frozen, but if your looking for the dried stuff(like beancurd sticks, mushrooms, noodles) and the bottled and canned stuff(sauces, picked whatevers) this place is a good shot. Most of the times it is hard to find parking in this plaza due to all the restaurants here, but if by some chance you are here, go take a walk, you may find something to your liking! They got me, with a sale on my favorite Yakult drink for $ 1.99, which is cheap.

As long as you don’t need to buy fresh meats or seafood(no water tank here), then is a pretty good alternative to the mayhem at T&T. Hidden near the corner of the Continental Square, below the famous Wah Wing restaurant. Fresh produce, great sale prices ie white radish 49cents/‘lb vs 69 in Chinatown, which already has rock-bottom prices, and this Meiji brand of chocolate jellies, tube-size for $ 4.29 vs. $ 4,99 at T&T. Tough to find parking at times even w/its massive lot, but hey, that’s Richmond for you.
