Just checked the online menu. supposed to be current. after over six months the price they STILL have not changed it to reflect the $ 10 increase in the price of the Peking duck. STILL showing as $ 29.95 instead of the $ 39.95 you will find your bill to reflect. Unbelievable. I went in personally last summer to point his out. VERY misleading and dishonest. I agree with the comment about the owners’ arrogance.

I love everything about Danny’s — the service, the food and the clientele is what I remember Richmond to be like when I grew up. This is probably the best place in Richmond to grab an old school bowl of BBQ pork/chicken on rice. Had the BBQ Pork/Soya Chicken mixed noodles — so flavorful and not bland and rat-nest like other chinese noodle joints. Yes, I agree with some reviewers that the portions may be a bit smaller than usual and the prices a tad higher, but you are getting a quality meal and friendly servers who just don’t throw the bowl at you and walk away like other establishments in Richmond. You can tell the hard-working owners and their kids are raised here and respect the Canadian values. Keep mom and pops chinese-canadian restaurants alive and support these guys! Very kid-friendly too!

OK so I have really low expectations for service at a Chinese restaurant to begin with and the service in this place still manages to offend me. I’m also not a fan of the food. The best way I can describe it is that they serve the kind of «Chinese» food that you would expect at a Chinese: — buffet with a blinking neon dragon sign outside — restaurant with Kung-fu lettering in their signage. In Tijuana, Mexico. You rarely seen ethnic Asians in here, but it seems popular with Caucasian folks. Go to JC kitchen instead.

Food is meh, kind of bland and portions are small. Prices are ridiculous, I got a order of pork fried rice and lemon chicken for $ 24! If your charging this much atleast don’t be chincy. Service is kind but sarcastically kind at the start. I asked if there were any combos for 2 people and the snobby woman at the counter explained to me «this isn’t a food court». Líke really, I had no idea this wasn’t a food court at a mall! ignorant a$$. Never again.

Hands down best Chinese delivery in Richmond! Food came so fast and super hot to the other side or richmond. BBQ pork chow main is so fresh and so so good! BBQ pork and brocolli really good too, gai lan super fresh and tasty! The lettuce wraps came stacked with a ton of meat… I’m just not used to the flavor they came in but it was super tasty and not stingy like some of the other places around town. Can’t wait to order again!

Love this place. The won-ton noodle is delicious as is the BBQ pork and duck on rice. We have also tried the different variations of fried rice one would find at any Chinese restaurant. Service is quick and the quality is excellent. Lots of parking and Price is reasonable as well.

Just retuned from lunch. Service was prompt but cold. It kinda felt as if we were being managed rather than welcomed if that makes sense. I had a two BBQ meat(chicken and pork) small bowl and my wife had crispy pork with fried rice. Both had okay flavour and a little stingy on the meat. Think high-school cafeteria Chinese food… meh. And for $ 22. It is what it is. I’m sure if Danny’s was in Abottsford it might be considered good but when measured against much better authentic Asian restaurants in Richmond Danny’s falls far short of the mark. Oh and the up-selling waitressing is tacky and annoying.

First visit here to Danny’s and I ordered the Won Ton small 5 pieces with a large BBQ Pork and rice. The food was great, reminded me of Hong Kong restaurant called café de coral which I would frequent often. BBQ Pork and rice is my favorite fast dish to order in a new place. I will definitely return to try more menu items. Reasonable price point as well.

This is my absolute favourite Chinese food restaurant. I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was a baby and when it was on no. 3 road near Richmond Centre. We always get the same thing and it’s always soooo good. I have not found another Chinese restaurant I’ve liked as much.

Their noodle soup is not as good as others I have tried. We tried their fried wonton which was a HUGE disappointment. The meat inside was as big as the tip of your pinky. Literally. And wrapped in a whole wonton wrapper. I don’t know how they get away with it. We have tried others and they are the WHOLE wonton fried. I would have given it 1 star, but because the server was really friendly, I added another one. We will not go back. It’s a waste of good money.

Wow this is an old school place I used to come as a kid with my family to get this one special dish: Honeymoon fried rice. it’s this really cool dish that is half with red sauce(tomatoes and chicken) over yellow rice and half with white sauce(green peas and shrimp) over white rice, and makes for a delicious mix. When I went back just a little while ago, it was $ 14 for the dish, so a little pricier than before, but still totally worth it in my biased mind. Not sure about the other food here, but the dish was just as tasty as I remember it. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Helped that we spoke Cantonese I guess, but definitely coming back for more when I visit again!

Went there for dinner on a Sunday night, at 530pm… We were quicly told we could not order any BBQ, except the crispy pork, not even sure if that was BBQ? 530PM, and they are sold out of BBQ duck and chicken? Really? We told, very rudley, we had to order that earlier!!! Really? We should call at what, 0800 to order BBQ, from Danny’s BBQ? This is a BBQ place, give me BBQ! Service was horrible. Party of 8, we asked for water for everyone. They brought us two glasses of water. When I said, again, can we get water for everyone… she took the water from in front of my son, and gave to me… I said, that is still only 2 water?! After asking three more times, we all got water… Food in general was so so, nothing great, nothing really horrible. Would I go back? No, why would I? This is Richmond, there must be 5000 Chinese places… there has to be a better one.

We order for home delivery about once a month, always on time(if they say it’ll be an hour and a quarter, set your watch and the knock on the door will be +\- five minutes of the stated arrival time). No this is not«fine dining», what it is is Chinese comfort food! Fair prices, good food and yes, a very cool family run the place. Highly recommended. Cheers

Absolutely shocking quality compared to the reviews and recommendations from some people. From the way some fans put it, we expected quite good Chinese food from here. I don’t care how nice the boss is(I don’t actually know because he never approached our table, unlike most claims that he walks around talking to his customers), the quality of food here is very average. What is even more shocking is that it is located within the heart of the Chinese community aka Richmond! And nobody has pointed out that this place is quite average in terms of standards for Chinese food in(and especially!) Richmond. Please do yourselves a favour and see past the over-rated comments. I have a feeling that most people end up going back to this place out of obligation to the friendly — or so claimed — boss.

This wouldn’t be my first choice for some Chinese food, but if you work close by, and there’s nothing else around the area that serves crispy pork… well, you’ll also succombe to the crave. Unless, you’re strong willed and have a long lunch break to drive elsewhere. Crispy Pork Combo -$ 9.25(includes taxes) — Crispy Pork(roughly half a rib) on rice, plus side of wontons in heavy MSG broth(4 pcs.). The quality of the crispy pork is, sometimes dry; most of the time fatty.

I was craving very badly for some Chinese style BBQ items on rice today, I knew I had to come here to get some for lunch. This place was the chosen one by default, as there are no other such restaurants within close proximity. Ordering a roast pork and soya chicken combo with rice came to $ 9.25. You order up front, wait a bit, and it’s ready within 5 minutes. Verdict: Soya chicken was really a 2 star. They give you white meat, and there’s lots of little bones in it. Flavour wasn’t really there either. Then the roast pork. Not too fatty, but not too much meat either. Have had a lot better. The rice was actually a little undercooked too. Either way, I finished it, as I was starving, but might stray away from this place next time I’m craving the same thing.
