Core Games

A neat little gaming store tucked away in lansdowne centre, taking over the mantle that was collectors den of the 2000s. it might not look like much but they do carry a diverse selection of board games, card games, comics, and collector toys. the biggest income for the store is card games specifically magic: the gathering, vanguard, and yigioh. there is only 1 long table in the back for group play, but its enough to seat some 8 players or so. p
price wise, most of the items are acceptable, with booster packs for cards being 10% more expensive than other places. with imperial hobbies out of the picture, core games should get more customers in the coming year. great place to pick up magic product upon release for fair pricing.

I been a customer of core games for a long time. its been nothing but excellent service. staffs are friendly and the boss always help me if i have questions about any products and willing to do special orders for products that they do not carry but can order. keep up the excellent work.

I recently went to Lansdowne mall and decided to drop by Core Games as I have been looking for an expansion to a game I own.
I have previously had such negative experiences in this store that I was actually hesitant to go in. It seems like that has completely changed.
When I went back I found that the employees of the store were very helpful and kind. The previously snarky employee wasn’t around at all. The man staffing the store was willing to help me out and helped me find what I was looking for.
With the selection they have and their prices, I hope that this service level continues. It seemed much more like the Brentwood store, which is great.

Board game and MTG selection is okay. Can’t comment on other games as I don’t play them. Prices are a bit high but is otherwise good. Service isn’t great. The guy that works there is pretty unfriendly, all he does is watch stuff on the computer, but the girl is nice.

Core Games is a small card game store in Landsdown Mall, in Richmond. Core Games is a small store selling mostly card games, board games, but they do have some collectibles. Hello Doctor Who stuff!
They have tables set up so you can play card games here. But the interesting thing I noticed about this place is that unlike the other main card game places in town. I see so many young kids here around 8,9,10,11,12. It feels like being in a time machine, and going back to the days of Pokemon except I noticed they were playing something called Vanguard.
This place caters to a younger crowd but, still has many items that adult collectors would enjoy, and has a large selection of card games. They also have a Burnaby location.
(Vancouver you are awesome. All the hobby, and geek stores here are so friendly including this one… It makes me happy)
