Quality has gone down, at least especially when the food is delivered. Disappointed in them. Nothing is ever crispy, it’s always a greasy soggy mess now. Do not order — 108(crispy chicken with hot sauce) — why you would deep fry a already cooked roast chicken is beyond me. And if you’re wanting crispy chow mein to be delivered, don’t count on it here. It’ll always be spaghetti when you get it. And we’ve had to wait over an hour these past few orders. Bamboo express, you disappoint me.

Terrible Chinese food, some compare it to mall food court. I compare it to sludge on the side of the road. Fried rice was very dry, chicken chow mein was some kind of goopy mass, Szechuan shrimp was half decent besides half the dish being soggy iceberg lettuce, sweet and sour pork was terrible. over cooked, yet somehow soft. I gave this place a second try nectar I heard there was new owners, is even worse now. I really can’t say anything positive about the food, the price is alright.

Great easy meal. Canadian Chinese style. Very much like a small town Chinese restaurant. Reminds me of a mall food court style meal but I mean that in a good way :)

Staying in Richmond this week and my dad gets a craving for Chow Mein and we decided to see what Bamboo Express is like. We were pleasantly surprised at how fast the food was ready. My sister texted me and wanted to order two more dishes and so I had to wait for her order and was amazed how fast it was. My dad and I had a great lunch together and will definitely go back here for more! Really enjoyed the House Special Chow Mein.

We drive in from New Westminster most weeks for the best Chinese food around. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food always hot and yummy!

Surprised and not surprised they’re still around; it’s been ages and don’t need to really go back when there’s way better quality anywhere along No.3 Road lol. yet it’s quick and cheap if that’s all you’re looking for; wont’ knock you off your feet, but it’s still decently clean as i walked by today. 10% off for pickup and they deliver.

Nostalgia is sometimes a good enough reason to try something again. In this case, a very bad decision. Bamboo Express has been an institution in the Blundell Centre Strip Mall ever since I can remember. They specialize in take out Chinese fast food at a cheap price. I recall many of my white friends who had their first Chinese food experience at Bamboo. I think they’ve been around since the early 90’s. I have not been there in over 15 years so today I decided to give it a try for good old times sake. They’ve got all the classics like sweet n sour pork, fried rice, chicken chow mein, lemon chicken, and beef & broccoli. To give you an idea of quality, I want you to visualize what Chinese food tastes like when you’re in a small city and there is only one Chinese restaurant in the whole city. This is that place. For those who want authentic food, this is not going to be your jam. Never go. Ever. Trust me. For those who know what they’re getting into, aren’t experts and maybe this was the type of Chinese food you grew up with, you’ll enjoy the nostalgia. I would only(very hesitantly) recommend this place to these people. A few bonus points go to the service. Very friendly, they do give discounts for advanced orders and they do deliver.
