This Starbucks used to be my to-go place about a year ago. I’d come here about three to four times with my friends and the environment was just so perfect for us to chill after a stressful long day. However, coming back here today, I don’t know if it’s the change of staff or just a bad day, but none of the employees had the usual Starbucks level customer service. The barista basically tossed the straw at me and the cashier didn’t seem to really give two cents. I repeated my order three times and yet, she still got it wrong. However, all the staff present at the bar did greet every customer with a smile and the basic«Hello, how are you today?» and«Thank you.» Nothing to complain about the drinks, still good as usual. I probably won’t be back for a while. Drinks: 4⁄5 Speed: 5⁄5 Environment: 4⁄5 Customer Service: 3⁄5

Where everybody knows your name! Come here frequently, they are usually pretty busy. But that doesn’t seem to phase them. They are very clean, efficient and able to produce a drink relatively quickly. Very friendly and sociable staff.

I visit Starbucks probably 2 – 3 times a week, and of all the various locations I go to, this one is my least favourite. It is the only location I’ve ever been to that does not have the necessary things in order to make common drinks. Pumpkin Spice Latte? Don’t have the ingredients for that. Vanilla Latte? Don’t have the ingredients for that either. If you do manage to get the drink you want, then I hope you weren’t planning on sitting there to drink it. There are only about 5.5 tables(I say 5.5 because they don’t all have two seats), and a «bar» you can sit at if you like watching the staff… which you’ll probably end up doing because the tables are always filled with laptops, which is a pretty good sign you won’t be getting a seat any time soon. No complaints about the staff, my drinks(when they can actually be made) have always been good. Unfortunately there has been more than one occasion where I’ve come here, only to have to go to a different location.

This is a frequent spot, conveniently reachable from my home. staff are super nice and courteous when you order and are served your drinks. Treat yourself to the richness of a latte by keeping your whip cream but getting your drink half sweet.

My morning go to place for coffee. Always friendly staff and drinks are always prepared fresh and awesome. Its a good place to meet up with friends and do some work. They also have an outside patio which is really nice for summer. Get some sun! Clearly Toronto is lacking these days…

A bad experience tonight resulting in a lost star and a complaint to head office. First the gentleman at cash didn’t write down on the cup that I wanted NOFOAM; NOWHIP with my PSL. A mistake and not totally upset about that it — after I got it, it showed«XH W»; v. XH with W and F struck out or XHNFNW) A male Barista(gentleman/dark hair/glasses) made the drink and then I saw the whip cream. I was not 100% sure it was mine so I said nothing. He handed to me — and then another female barista took over to make another of my drinks. So I knew there was whip — and I would have still been fine with that. But the second I picked it up I knew it was loaded with foam. As I took a sip the cup had to go a fair amount back to get the drink. I then asked the woman to fix it. Thankfully the«milk» portion was still available — she began to scoop out the foam. In the middle she started to laugh«yeah there is a lot of foam». At least 1⁄3 of the Venti had to be scooped out. A full 3″ from the top. This is 100% NOT standard. More like DOUBLEEXTRAFOAM. Or in my opinion an absolutely careless job. As a result I am emailing head office specifically about this. I saw this at the other location in Richmond Hill on Elgin Mills — perfect example of not using a spoon and just pouring in. A ~$ 7.50 value drink with $ 2.50 of foam. Outrageous. The woman did fix the drink. The 2nd drink was a bit less so I asked her to fix that and she had to steam more milk but that was done. I have been burned before by careless Barista’s of this sort — and today was the start of complaining of such things. At one Starbucks when I said«Whip/no foam» the Barista said«you don’t need to say that — you either get WHIP or FOAM. We never give foam and whip typically.» Well apparently not all Starbuck Barista’s are trained equally. I have likewise asked this during my complaint to head office.

Consistently dissappointing, this Starbucks has a cold atmosphere, very limited seating and is frequently out of stock on key baked goods. I don’t know why this location has more seating on a patio that is closed 8 months of the year(Canada, eh?) than it does inside. boggles the mind. The coffee, food and personnel are all good Starbucks-level quality, but the place itself has too few seats and too many wi-fi squatters that take up a whole table for the full day. This is particularly troublesome given there’s only 4 tables. Argh!

This Starbucks definitely a place where the locals hang out in Richmond Hill! It closes at 11:00 pm most days except Sundays! I know Starbucks is just so Meh… but great meeting place to meet up with your friends and chill and catch up over a cup of coffee! Free Wifi! Comfy Seating! Great options when other places are closed for the night! and some not even open at 6:00AM!
