Courtyard Cafe and Patio

I have been visiting the Island for the last 25 years but my mother in law or my sister in laws never took me here, now I know why?
Pros:
The back patio is really nice and cozy.
The server’s are polite and to me that is expected
Cons :
The time I was there the service was extremely slow so you wonder how would the food would be taste like. It didn’t worth the waiting.
The crepes was warm, not hot I like my food hot if it suppose to be hot not warm
I ordered extra hot latte it come warm not even hot
The ham and aspergess crêpe only had one little aspergess laying on top of the ham crêpe and I feel the crêpe is very empty with almost too much besamel sauce on it, the salade on the side of the crêpe is only lettuce so not much of a salad, they could add some aspergess in the crêpe to make up the menu. I found the place is a bit overpriced compare to the food size and the services all together.
I don’t think I will go back again, I will explore other venues in the areas, it’s so many new eateries around now.

stopped in here on a whim. Great small town café, fast internet, great tea and the banana cake was AMAZING! we really liked the «small town local» feel of this place. Highly recommend for afternoon tea.

Stopped in for lunch on the way up Island. .
Lovely courtyard with fountain, pond, greenery. .. Perfect for our outdoor seating.
We both enjoyed the turkey-​Crepesdilla with greens; salsa and sour cream side. It was expensive ($ 10.95) for what it was, but Island Savings coupon book gave 2-​for-​1, up to $ 7 so good value then. Small portions. But the quesadilla style crêpe, was a novelty and tasty, although very slim on content. There were about 4 different greens type in the side bowl, including Swiss chard and beet tops, but no veg. The raspberry house dressing was good, vinaigrette style.
Friendly service, clearly family run and popular with the locals. Ya, we’d stop in again, and recommend it for lunch. .. .

Fantastic place. Homey comfy feel. Great service from the owner and his wife. We were on the hunt for a gluten free lunch for our 2-​year old — and we found it here. This crêpe café makes everything gluten free — the owner himself is celiac. So accommodating and friendly. I’m super picky about my coffee and their latte was so good, I would go back if I was staying closer.
I got the seafood crêpe (with shrimp only), husband got the chicken cordon crêpe, and the lil one got a strawberry and blueberry crêpe (GF). He actually ate it without protest. Husband and I both got the turkey and vegetable soup instead of salad. The soup was a bit bland — the only thing that kept me from giving them the 5^th star. The seafood crêpe was so delicious I could have had a second one. Husband enjoyed his chicken cordon too. Crêpe was crispy and thin. Not doughy and thick like some other places.
I would return if I visit Qualicum Beach in the future. Keep mom and pop in business! Go visit them if you’re on the island!
