Devil’s Wishbone Winery is down to earth. Worth a visit if you want to have a more casual tasting or you want to buy a bottle of their wine and enjoy it wandering around the vineyards. There are quite a few seating options both inside and outside for all kine of group size. Tasting is $ 1 each. Great to support local wineries and we also ended up buying a bottle of their 2013 Wicked White to take home. The barn was nicely renovated for rainy or colder days so come by regardless of weather!

Visited the Devil’s today. Had an absolutely amazing wine tasting with Jenny. First time a wine tasting has been entertaining! And I leaned an unbelievable amount in a very short time. The wine was amazing. Loved the Riesling and came away with several bottles. Final plus is the beautiful location. Definitely worth a visit. Come ready to try amazing wines and don’t forget to ask for Jenny when you get there!

Ok, seriously … WEIRDESTWINETASTERLADYEVER … it was awesome though! She was hilarious. She definitely knew what she was talking about, she clearly felt no discomfort at the fact that we were virtually silent the entire time(two in our party don’t speak English as a native language. She was VERY engaging, she actually made the entire tasting experience INTERESTING and not BORING. I’ve been doing a few tastings over the last couple of days and honestly, when I hear about the grapes and the blends and the this and that, I want to roll my eyes into the back of my head and fall over, but this was actually fun, and I(as a novice) felt like I understood what she was saying. Her delivery was actually. PRACTICAL. This goes with that, we did this because of that. Honestly spoke my language. The wine wasn’t quite MY taste, but those I was with loved it and purchased 3 bottles of it, including their last bottle of Merlot. They felt it was the best wine they’d had, period, full stop over the last few days. Kudos to Devils Wishbone, the atmosphere where we did the tasting was very cool and interesting!

This was one of my favourite wineries we visited, even though it was only the second stop of the day. The property features a lot of rustic charm; the tasting room is housed in an old barn that is both drafty and full of character. Don’t worry though, you won’t be cold, thanks to the lovely patio heaters they’ve brought indoors. Before we got to the tastings, we were lucky enough to be toured through the entire barn; there are lots of nooks and crannies for getting lost in, and if you want to bring a picnic lunch to the estate, you are welcome to settle into one of the many upstairs tables. You can even buy a bottle to consume on the property; no corkage fees! The tastings were good; our host was extremely informative, and we ended up purchasing a bottle of the Pino Gris Rose, which I’m saving for a good summer occasion.

We came to Devil’s Wishbone Winery on a colder day and they were kind enough to tour us around their barn. Their wine is delicious. The rosé is my favorite and I even bought a bottle!
