How-to put a Lake on the Mountain: 1. Dig a big hole in the middle of a mountain 2. Water flows up from Lake Ontario below 3. Put a cork on the water flow when done 4. Repeat when Lake starts to dry up 5. Enjoy the view Nothing as exciting or ferocious as Niagara Falls or other natural wonders however it remains a curious and mysterious part of nature. At the scene, it doesn’t come into mind that you’re on a mountain and the fact that there’s a lake on a mountain UNTIL you spin around and see on the other side with Lake Ontario below. I went for a DIP in the Lake… with my hand and felt the freshness that is one of the great Canadian natural resources. I almost wanted to take a SIP until a dude came out of the water nearby. Dude water? No thank you. Lake on the Mountain. Yours to Discover.

Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park is a Provincial park located in Prince Edward County. The park has an area of 104 hectares. Other than a viewing platform, parking area, and an illustrated sign explaining the physical structure of the eponymous lake, there are no facilities in the park aside from washrooms. It is worth a quick stop as you have a good view of the two Lakes. The water is really clear and calm and people even go for a quick dip. There are some picnic tables for a quick meal.
