Del-Gatto is one of the smaller wineries in the Picton County area, but their friendliness really does welcome you in. The vineyard’s history is rooted in Italian family heritage, and that shows through in the tasting room’s décor.
They offer a smaller list of options, and the crowd I was with for the day seemed to agree the whites were more favourable to the reds. The highlight for our party was receiving some homemade cookies as a gift when one of the group made a purchase — how cute!
I think they are the most easterly winery on the county map, but worth a quick look if you are out for a few tastings.
