Rocky Point Park

This small but well-​tended park is very family friendly and has a lot of restaurants and amenities dotted about the edge. It’s always busy, and feels like one giant picnic on sunny summer weekends. The Boathouse, Rocky Point Ice Cream, and Pajo’s Fish & Chips are the three restaurants beside the park. There’s a little pier out into Moody Arm with great views of the surrounding areas.
Please keep in mind that, despite being a city park as well, Inlet Park, just to the east, can be quite wild. The bear warning signs aren’t joking — I’ve seen more than one! Within the pedestrian confines of Rocky Point you should be just fine, though.

I don’t see what the hype is all about. Below average park, barely any space. Not worth seeing.

Great spot. This park has it all– a boardwalk, Pajos Fish and Chips, homemade ice cream and confectionary, spray park, pool, playground, and a beautiful trail around the inlet that is suitable to scooter/​bike or walk. Also there is a big grassy area that is great for small kites or frisbee. An off leash dog park and a skate board park. There is not a lot of shade in the summer, so it is not a bad idea to bring your own shade. Easily could spend the entire day.

Awesome park with lots of family oriented areas! I used to live in Burnaby years ago but I don’t think it was like this when I did. Initially went there as close to yellow dog brewing (literally right across the entrance/​exit). Came on a wet day, park was near desserted. Awesome bike/​pedestrian path which goes for quite a long ways along the shore. However, the dog park was pretty disappointing being on the small side — just a dirt lot — no trees, logs, sitting area, etc. (good place for a dog to get nice and muddy! prefer dog parks with more cedar chips/​grass). Can imagine it getting crazy busy in the summer.

This park is so beautiful. Right on the water and its very large. We had a nice gang out today and played some bocci ball. Good place to bring the kids and fly kites!

Great park, it caters to all different types of people. Dog park, ice cream place, pajos, fishing off the dock, running trails, skate park, pool, restaurant, and so much more. Rocky point is my go to park and always will be highly recommend anyone who hasn’t been to check it out!

Really nice place for the summer! They have a huge area of grass where people play sports or lay out. It’s a short drive from my place, so sometimes my husband and I come here during the weekdays and have pajo’s fish and chips for dinner and bring a mat to just sit on. They have picnic tables there as well.
It’s a great place if you wanted to walk, run, or bike around. There’s also a dock that’s really nice to walk around with pretty views.
Like I said, Pajo’s is there with great fish and chips and also the best place for ice cream! Can’t remember what it’s called but their quality of ice cream is really great with an assortment of flavours that won’t overwhelm you. Can’t miss it.

This is a hidden gem for anyone who probably doesn’t live in the Tri-​Cities. Always well maintained and even nice on a cold rainy day. Not a massive park but that’s what we like about it.

This is one of the best parks out there. It’s beautiful, has lots to offer everyone and is extremely well maintained. Food options include the Boathouse (which I’m not a fan of) and Pajo’s Fish and Chips (which I am a fan of). There’s also an ice cream place.
They have a covered picnic area that you can rent out for private functions, a splash park for the kids and even an enclosed dog run. The trails going all around the inlet are scenic. They provide 2 routes, one for walking and one for cycling.
I can’t actually imagine what they could do to make this place better.
Be warned though, on nice days, this place is PACKED.

So disappointed… Over $ 35 for super oily, burnt halibut. Fish burger was the worst I’ve ever had and the tables and counters were filthy. The wasps were circling the soda machine — we couldn’t get near it. We used to love going there! It used to be great! Service and food has gone down hill… Won’t ever be going back…

Port Moody 100yrs parade!

Looking for gorgeous views of the water, walking trails, a place to draw? Look no further than Rocky Point Park
I came here for a late night stroll with my boyfriend and it was quite romantic with the scenic view of the water, and it felt pretty safe a night. There were plenty of late night joggers, dog walkers, and even parents with their kids at around 9 or 10 in the middle of winter.
There is plenty of benches, and flat sidewalks so this is perfect for people who need to take breaks, the elderly, or those with wheelchairs. The docks are a bit slippery though in winter so watch out!
The other great thing about this place is being able to rent a canoe, and go out onto the water, or just enjoy the scenery. This park offers quite a lot.

Live far away from Steveston BC? That’s okay we’ve got Pajo’s too!
For the longest time, I’ve always thought «oh Fish and Chips, gotta go to Pajo’s in Steveston!» boy was I wrong! Apparently there are 4 locations for Pajo’s one in Steveston (duh), one at Garry Point in Richmond, one in Port Moody and one in Port Coquitlam. Port Coquitlam is quite out of the way for me so I resulted to the one in Port Moody. If you think the Pajo’s line up in Steveston is longggg, well this one is comparable on a sunny day. If you go during their summer hours at around lunch time, be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes before your fish is ready!
This location is located at the Rocky Point Park. It’s actually one of my favorite local parks because of their hiking trails, dog park area and their mini ‘lakewall’. Pajo’s here is only opened during summer and on rainy days though so its definitely not a year round option for those who are craving fish and chips on a cold winters night (well i’m sure some of you do!)
None the less I went here in June (yes a very overdue post) with one of my childhood friend who I’ve met since grade 3! Come to think of it that’s been like 15 years already? or more! (Yikes now you can guess my age!) Back to topic!
The fish here is exactly the same as Pajo’s! Except though, I find that they aren’t as tentative to what you ordered so be sure to double check that you’ve got what you ordered as well as how many pieces of fish as well. For those that haven’t tried Pajo’s yet, Pajo’s fish and chip is a very light battered fish I would say … the fine line between tempura batter and regular fish and chip batter if that makes any sense at all! The portions though aren’t huge… but if you love fries, you’ll be happy because there are TONS of fries with all your combos. I mean enough that I often have half of it left!
Prices: ~$ 8-~12
I do agree that it is a bit pricey for fish and chip… but its sort of a once in a while treat!
Now that it’s September though, I strongly recommend giving them a call first just to see if they’re open. I mean its still quite warm here in Vancouver but because its labeled as «September» the typical fall start date, they might not be opened.

I just love this park …
I mean you can hike around, do Canoeing, get some fries and picnic on a nice grass park.
Great for children and parents as well as a romantic picnic with your sweetheart.
The view is great as you can enjoy the mountains of the North Shore.
They are fairs for the 1^st July which are great, and probably other big dates.
The parking is pretty spacious too.
Just a great place to enjoy summer in Vancouver.
J’adore Rocky Point !!

Went here the other week for my nephews first birthday! I was looking forward to it as it was my first time here and when I first saw it I was in awe at it’s beauty and that’s about where my love for it stopped.
Parking is a pain in the arse and that’s saying it nicely. The convenient parking spots are not for the ordinary but the boats. So already frustrated at the lack of parking and two hot dogs in the car wanting to get the heck out and stretch as they were harnessed into their seats it was a blessing to see all the goose poop that my dogs want to eat and rub themselves in. If you can’t sense the sarcasm I am not sure what else to put lol!
For the kids it was great. The water park is great for them but if you are just two with dogs probably not the best to just hang out at.

This is kid heaven. We took my boyfriends children here for their awesome waterpark. Plus they have a regular park. And an outdoor pool. Lots and lots of space to have a picnic and lay out your blanket and a portable bbq if you have one.
We spent half the day here and I was just really happy. Happy to be somewhere else than the Vancouver bubble and also. NO SAND. Just grass. Loves it.
