Perfect little lake for a run! I have been living in the neighbourhood for 12 years, and Como Lake Park is my favourite. It is a great place for a morning run or a walk. In the spring, there are lots of flowers and baby ducks/geese! Bring your camera!

Nice place, if you enjoy fishing this is not the place to go. The docks get over crowded and it makes it impossible to safely cast

Como lake park is a nice enough parks as parks go. On a nice summer day the lake will look very beautiful and its filled with cute little duckies(and at certain times of year cranky hissing geese). It has a playground but the playground has not been changed or updated since my childhood. It’s literally the same as before. People fish here though because this weird lake in the middle of the city has fish in it. Are they clean good or tasty? I really don’t know and I would suggest you ask the guys who come here all the time to do their fishing. I feel a little odd at the idea of fishing here. Since the trail circles the lake I find I get bored of it after a short while. I prefer parks with more exploration but this park is good for joggers, runners and such you can use the loop to keep track of how far you’ve run. I would defenitely reccomend this park in nice weather for a walk about since it looks very dreary in the rain. Not a place for a picnic there aren’t many tables or places to sit but quite nice all the same

A little oasis in the middle of suburbia, spring at Como Lake is a great place for a quick, enjoyable walk with the pooch or a nice job or walk with friends. Whenever I walk around this lake my immediate thought is Coquitlam isn’t so bad, look at this pretty little lake. The lake is stocked with fish so there are a lot of people out along the shore or on the dock with their fishing rods out trying to catch themselves a fishy for dinner. Speaking of catching a fish, while there last night a hawk was circling the lake and eventually dove down and caught himself his dinner. It was an amazing sight to see. You will also see many geese and ducks at the lake all year long but at this time of year you get to see the babies too. So very cute they are. Please note to not feed the birds/ducks. There are signs up along the trail around the lake asking the public to not feed them. I am amazed as to how many people out there just don’t care or understand what a problem it creates by having these birds rely on us for food. Angers me a little to see people feed them and know that they aren’t supposed to so they try and be sneaky about it.

Como Lake Park is a nice dog friendly(with leash) neighbourhood park that offers a variety of options throughout the year. For me it’s a place whey I can take the dog for a quick walk around the lake where he can get out and socialize with some of the other pups in the area. It’s a small trail, only a 1.5km loop. For others the place offers a lake stocked with rainbow trout, plenty of lakeside seating, picnic tables and even ice skating if it’s cold enough. It’s also a decent area for people that like trail running but too lazy to head to a larger park like mundy, then again if you are a runner then you are probably not lazy like me.
