Very nice variety of deli and baking goods, but customer service is HORRIBLE! They are very rude and obnoxious. They treat customers as a dirt. I would not recommend this place and will spend my hard earned $$$ somewhere else!

I LOVE the pastries and baked goods here. I come often and usually just get one or two items. Today, however, I bought over $ 40 worth of just baked goods and was having quite a nice time with my son and daughter, picking treats for our company. Their one debit machine was down, so I was asked to go down to the other end. When I went down there, an older lady(owner?) was busy packing a large order. She rudely told me to «get to the other side». I was so taken aback by her manner that I jumped and said I was just trying to pay. She did not apologize. The cashier apologIzed for her, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s the holidays and I recognize some people are stressed, but a simple«I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were told to come down here,» would’ve been all that was needed to make it right.

Great selection of sweet and savoury items — I usually walk out of here with much more than I intended. I’m a sucker for trying new deli meats & cheese, so I appreciate the variety compared to the nearby grocery stores. I’ve tried a few of their baked goods and I quite enjoyed some of them, despite not having much of a sweet tooth. The only downside to this place is the service. It would be nice to see someone smile now and again, but every time I’ve been in this place, it’s like someone just died. In fact, last time I was getting a few different deli meats, the person serving me seemed annoyed that I wanted to try so many different kinds. I almost apologized!(how typically Canadian of me) Hopefully they can improve on the service because their products are really great. I really wanted to give them a higher rating, but honestly can’t because I don’t like feeling bad when I walk out!

Great gelato and they have the most freshest waffle cones I have ever tasted. It is by my place so it is convenient. I usually order the hazelnut gelato which I am a huge fan of. The only down side is that you usually have to wait a while for someone to assist

It is a dangerous fact of life that I live around the corner from this Italian bakery/deli. In fact, the folks who work there all know me on sight and remember facts about my household(like the fact that my brother, who used to live with me, really likes the rosemary ham). Their deli meat is really reasonably priced, and they generally get nicer product than either of the grocery stores nearby. They have a great selection of Italian products(olive oils, vinegars, canned and dried goods) and stock a decent assortment of frozen, pre-packaged Italian fare like lasagnas and pastas. Their pastry case is AMAZING and they do a great variety of cookies and their cakes — OMGTHEIRCAKES — are the best ever. Everything here is fantastic and it’s a well-known area business, so be prepared to wait if you’re stopping in after work, or almost any time on the weekends. Having said that, Casa Del Pane is well worth the wait!

If you go here, you MUST get an empire cookie. Those things are to die for. I can’t really comment on the deli side of it, but their bakery is amazing. Their service is great, can’t beat the location, and really you can’t go wrong with their baked goods.

Always has been a staple for me in the village when needing some specialty Italian stuff or some quick dessert for dinner. Used to love the crème brûlée especially. However the one we got tonight was terrible… they used a TON of white, refined sugar for the topping which for the hardened layer was 2−3mm thick and nearly impenetrable with a spoon. There was still a mess of untouched white sugar granules under the topping which made it inedible without scraping it all off. Whats usually a light, crispy topping was made into a super thick pure candy topping which gives me the shivers… like you know when you eat something too sweet? Hope they go back to a proper crème brûlée recipe!

What a fantastic place! Best cookie selection, amazing deli meats and cheeses, and all sorts of other yummy things. Young daughter Sarah always«demanded» to see Shelly & get some cookies every few days! Sarah says this place is «heaven in a cookie!». Additionally, we loved getting produce next door, seafood and meats all within a few doors. What a wonderful way to shop and socialize.

If you know me you know that I love my sweets, call me Miss Sweet Tooth! I’ve been to Casa Del Pane several years ago picked up some dessert it was good but just recently one of my friends had brought me an assortment of their cookies and sweets. OMG they were amazing! Since then Ive been meaning to go and pick up some more heavenly cookies. So one nice day I was in the neighbourhood, and craving sweets(: Its a small Italian bakery located in Port Moody Newport village. Cute location with some specialty foods like homemade pasta, breads so on but I come for the cakes, pastry, and cookies!!! When you walk in make sure you grab a number I often forget I get distracted by the the sweet goodness that is right in front of me. My faves anything shortbread with jam filling is Amazing!!! Melts in your mouth. And the shortbread or sugar cookies is so buttery, buttery goodness!

I usually go here to pick up few bits of their dessert/pastry ! Italian bakery, nicely situated in the centre of Newport Village. They used to be the best European bakery in the area, until the bakery section @ Thrifty Foods popped up. but still good! They have the Tuesday sales when they put various items normally priced from $ 2.49 to $ 3.49 on sale for $ 1.49. I thought it was all items in that price range and turns out it’s only select few :( but still their pastry is good ! They all look so good and pretty much anything you get will satisfy your sweet tooth Considering it’s in Newport Village and how overpriced some of the shops there are, this one is one of the more reasonably priced ones.(their cakes are tad bit on the pricey side if you are used to buying cakes from safeway/Thrifty Foods though)

Great desserts, pastas, breads. All of it. Check this place out. The day I was there if you purchased 5 of the cold case desserts you got the 6th free. also great topped focaccia bread, tomato, vegetable, and meat versions as well. I also purchased some maple shortbread that was yummy! Can’t wait to go back.
