Established in 2007, The Loose Leash offers a full range of pet sitting services for dog, cats and small animals. Suzy is a certified professional dog trainer using the Companion Concept program developed by Brunton Canine Training Services.

We are fully insured and bonded, pet first aid certified and a member of the International Pet Sitters Association, Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers.

With 35 years of experience, past work with The Toronto Humane Society, along with being a certified dog trainer brings you a wealth of knowledge in canine behaviour.

History

The Loose Leash provides dog walking services and obedience training. Suzy has extensive experience and knowledge in handling and training your family pet.

Meet the Business Owner

Suzy R.

Business Owner

Suzy Réaume has been working as a dog walker since 2006. She has been trained and certified for Dog Obedience using The Companion Concept developed by Brunton Canine Training Services.

She is a mother of 3 boys and is owned by a German Shepherd and a Tabby cat. When Suzy was 3 years old, she was terrified of dogs and this led to the decision of getting a family dog (then her parents said «oh my what have we done?»)

Forty + years later, she is still a dog owner, with past work at the Toronto Humane Society, a rescuer of abused dogs and has worked for veterinarians. Suzy is passionate about her work and is developing a greater understanding for animals. Her desire in life is to help pet owners and their canine companions enjoy the best possible relationship.

She is currently a member of the Schutzhund Club of Canada working her German Shepherd, Keera. They have obtained their first obedience title (BH) and are working towards their IPO1 title.
