Got the food quickly, awesome selection of beer, and solid food with satisfying portions. Maybe it’s just because I’m from Montréal, but the prices here were way lower than I expected for what we got. Pretty standard hipster ambiance, but like I said I’d expect to pay a lot more for this usually. Nothing negative to report.

First time back in years and hasn’t changed a bit. 3.5 today, very good service which is not unusual here. Beverages were cold and fairly priced. Very happily surprised with the app I ordered, pulled pork spring rolls — just great and only $ 10! Sauce was a variation on plum sauce, little kick of heat with sweet. Definitely happy that nothing has changed and will continue to keep coming back

Disappointing at best. On a slow night, it took an hour to get the food, which was bland and oily. The chicken Parmesan was decent, but its pesto pasta side was shockingly bland. Received disappointed comments about the best burger from friends. Atmosphere was nice. Too bad.

The man and I visited for a dinner. The space was rustic and relaxed. The floor is worn but in the right way. The food was pretty decent. I ordered a steak sandwich, that had cheese with peppers and onion. I left off the horseradish mayo. Ick! The Caesar salad was really good with fresh crumbled bacon. Fries were a little lackluster. Stereotypical. I tried a bite of my mans meatball sandwich, didn’t have much taste in the meatball itself. The beers! Delicious!!! I had the Oh Dobh Stout and he had the ginger citrus saison. They were some of the best micro brews I had. The stout was similar to Guinness but way way way way better. The Citrus was tangy and smooth. I’d return for beers but not for food.

Olde Stone Brewing Company is a nice cute neighbourhood brewery and pub which I wish I have one in my area. Nothing really flashy or hipstery about this place. Just some affordable decent beers for one to enjoy. The sampler taster is really good value at $ 6.50 that offers the 5 beers that currently available on tap. Red Fire Wheat Ale Pickwick’s Best Bitter Wilde Olde Ale Or Dubh Stout Belgian Wit(Seasonal) A good place just to have a quick pint and chill out a little.

Great food and good selection of beers. Don’t expect much from the onsite brewery though. Our waitress wasn’t able to tell us anything, and the only information came from a blurb on the wall. You can walk down the stairs and look at it tho.

If you’re looking for good, fresh, pub food in a pleasant atmosphere, this small place fronting on George Street in Peterborough is as about as good as this sort of place gets — and that includes in larger centres. The fries are fresh, the chedar and ale soup is homemade and deservedly popular, and the salads are pleasant. The fish has a nice thin batter, and the reuben is generous. The prices are reasonable. For example, for $ 10.95 I got the cheddar and ale soup, the reuben, and a Mediterranean salad(and there were plenty of other things I could have substituted for each of these three. The English bitter produced by the microbrewery in the basement is very good.. A real fireplace, and plenty of parking on the street nearby, along with informed and friendly service, complete a pleasant picture.

Our family had a very nice dinner at the Olde Stone last Saturday night. We have eaten there many times. Sometimes we have lunch, stop for a beer and a nibbly, or go for dinner. It’s a comfortable, casual atmosphere and if you get a table at the front, the people-watching can be fun. When we stop for lunch we often split a pizza and a salad. The pizzas are thin crust, no sauce. They’re great with a house-brewed beer. We also like their sandwiches. The calamari and chicken wings are pretty good. Their samosas are excellent and made for them by Island Cream around the corner. For dinner the other night, two of our kids had burgers which were big and tasty. Our one son likes their fries because they leave the skins on and have more flavour. Our other son had fish ‘n chips which were cooked perfectly, not overdone. We had the special, a cajun halibut sandwich, and they were quite tasty. Again, not overdone. Even though the restaurant was full, our service was quick. It’s not a huge place so if you have a large party, it might be tricky. They have a roll-up door for patio-esque seating in the summer and real working wood-burning fireplace in the back for the winter. Their brewmaster is excellent and we highly recommend the beers!

Cozy little brewpub serving good quality food. Small patio out front with a garage door that opens to the inside of the restaurant — great when it’s warm out, horrific when it’s hot out as there’s no a/c in this place. In the winter grab the comfy chairs by the fireplace(yes, a real fireplace) and spend the afternoon sipping a lovely pint of house brewed bitter whilst reading something by Oscar Wilde(in keeping with the quotes on the walls). The food is almost all made from scratch in house, including the fries and the spring rolls. Good quality ingredients and tasty if not overly inspired fare.
