Great beer and great pizza. Atmosphere is great but love being outside more than sitting in the building. One of my favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner. And you can take home some of your favorite beer from there! How great is that? Do yourself a favor and try it out if you are in the mood for some out of the ordinary pizza and some great local beer!

Good pizza. Better beer. Very good and knowledgeable service. The patio is oddly comfortable considering the height of the ceiling.

Really good pizza in a lively atmosphere in downtown Penticton. The beer was good, though not particularly impressive, but nice and fresh. The radler was a nice light choice. We shared the Carolina BBQ pizza from the Weird section of the menu. It wasn’t weird at all — just delicious. I would definitely go back to try other pizzas and more of the beer.

I don’t know Penticton very well at all and my friend and I were somewhat rushed to find somewhere to eat so my expectations were pretty low. Needless to say, Bad Tattoo Brewing took us by surprise and left a great impression on me. First off, the staff were super accommodating about getting us a table on the patio. Even though there was a bit of a wait, they made sure we were comfortable and kept us posted every few minutes. Definitely above and beyond. The patio itself is a great spot for people watching if you manage to snag a seat on one of the edges. They have plenty of umbrellas to shield patrons from the sun and the chairs are nice and comfy. I was really excited about the number of vegetarian pizza options we had to choose from, everything from«Simple pleasures»(a classic margherita pizza) to the more exotic«Black and Blue«which combines roasted apples with blackberry compote and topped with blue cheese. Yum! Everything was delicious. The beer is also fantastic. I appreciate that they list the ABV % and IBU for all of their beers. This is helpful when you aren’t familiar with what they have to offer. Next time I’m in town, I’m definitely taking home a growler! They also offer tours of the brewery if you book ahead, which I’m very tempted to do. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely make a point to come back here next time I make the drive down to Penticton.

Husband and I stayed for a night in Penticton. We decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was full but we were given a seat relatively quickly. We ordered 5 beer samplers($ 1.50 each) and the Carolina BBQ at 6:30pm. The beer came right away, and the pizza arrived at 7:01pm. The night was chilly, and I asked the server to turn on the heater, but she wasn’t able to operate it. She was supposed to grab the manager to turn it on, but of course, it was left unattended. After braving the cold for 20 mins, I couldn’t stand it, I had to ask another server to help out. That server looked for the bartender who fixed our heater and we finally have heat. Since I asked for the heat to be turned up, one may think to offer the patron a blanket that is available, sadly, I was not offered one. I fetched one myself as a blanket became available. The beers were unfortunately not memorable. The pizza was the same thing. At $ 17 for a 12″ pizza… that’s just not worth it.

its always busy, foods good, staff is friendly only downside is the tattoo art is really bad, I get what they are going for but and the vibe but they should of hired an artist to do the drawing/design work, as someone that tattoos its hard to look at

This place was very busy but it’s a large brew pub so we were seated quickly. I ordered the Comfort Zone pizza and it was amazing. I have never made pizza with apples on it but next time I will have to. It went perfectly with the maple ham! The salad was quite good, we had some big fans of the pizza with the corn on it(Tejano) and another person ordered the Panang Shrimp pizza but it was just fair we thought. The beer was definitely the highlight. I haven’t had bad tattoo beer before but after this visit we will be going back(for the beer first and then the food). The flight was priced well so you can try almost all of the beers. The Los Muertos Cerveza was very interesting/different but highly recommended. The stout was a 2nd favorite and west coast IPA also very good. Us «lads» were there with a few ladies and they also had a great time. Wine and apps met their expectations. Great summertime restaurant after the Penticton Farmers Market!

Funky and interesting pizza flavours. Love the wood fired oven visible from the dining area. This place was packed and they were understaffed the evening we were there, so things felt a little hectic and wait times were long. Obviously a local favourite! The high ceilings make it really noisy so don’t come here expecting a quiet dinner with your date — it’s great for a large group like ours was, and they were great about accommodating our party by moving tables. Recommend trying the apple soda and the Spanakopizza. They were out of the Kolsch(disappointing) at the time we went, but otherwise my preferred brew was the golden ale. Wish we’d had the time and budget for dessert… at $ 17 a pizza and with a limited menu(only other choices were salads), it was an expensive night out. All in all a good experience though.

Good, friendly staff and very knowledgeable about all the different beers which are fantastic and change regularly– love the Los Muertos, and the stout, and the new Pale Ale(September 2015). Great range of pizzas and salads which are huge and easily shareable. Attention to detail is exceptional here, from the washrooms to the beer and gluten free options too! Love the brand as well, it’s cool!

I found Bad Tattoo by searching Unilocal and reading the reviews. I am not a beer drinker so loved that I could get samplers. What do you know, I actually liked their Los Muertos Creveza Negra craft beer. It didn’t hop as much as the others on my palette. They are also unique in their pizzas. I ordered their Carolina BBQ chicken Tejano which had chorizo sausage. Crazy good. The only thing missing was the«bad tattoos!»

The pizza was good… Thin, good mix of fresh toppings and crisp crust. It is unfortunate that they only serve their craft beer and have a very small selection of wines AND no bar rail. If we knew that was the situation we would have ordered takeout and ate at our hotel.

Really interesting pizza. We made a reservation for 6pm and were seated quickly. They said they don’t normally make reservations, but if we’d come early, they’d let our group of 10 make the reservation. Our server was attentive and good. We ordered some pretzels and caesar salad as starters. The caesar was large and the pretzels were big too! Several of us tried the different beers available. I got the root beer. It was very unusual and not something I would get again. The pizzas were very thin crust and had some really unusual and interesting topping options. Our apple and ham pizza was really good but not incredibly filling since the crust was so thin. If you are hungry, order the larger size because of the thin crust. I would definitely come here again.

My new favourite place to eat and drink in Penticton. This really is as good as it gets. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and if you sit at the bar whilst waiting for a table you can chat with the cooks as they make a multitude of delicious looking pizzas. The pizzas are not just your traditional tomato sauce and cheese, there’s pesto based, Greek yoghurt, BBQ sauce or Thai curry based to name a few. The toppings are all fresh, but the deal-sealer for me is that if you order a larger pizza, they will split it half and half between two different pizzas. I tried the Tejano, and Fromaggio; one being a tomato based Mexican flavour and the other a green pesto cheese. Both were amazing, and I’m longing to go back to try more. As the name suggests, this is also a brew house, making their own beers. They have around half a dozen of their own beers on tap, most of which are brewed in a German style beer, albeit various types of pilsner, dark lager, wheat beer etc. If you are stuck choosing, they serve a taster tray called a «flight» where you can get four different beers in a smallish glass to try. A good way to sample several different beers if you don’t want to drink too many pints.

Really liked this place. The stout and Radler were great, but they also served a very nice Pinot gris. The salad we had as a starter was nice, but I thought the dressing was a bit overpowering. The paneng shrimp pizza was good, an interesting combination on a pizza that worked surprisingly well. But the highlight was the blue cheese, apple and blueberry compote pizza. So full of flavour, every pizza place should have this on the menu.

yummy pizza. Well its not really pizza its more a flatbread style, interesting toppings, not what you would expect. great sunny deck with large windows looking into the vat room, beers were a little sweet and syrupy for me, be hey thats just me. it will get super busy in the summer and on weekends call ahead to check or get there out of normal eating hours. It was a little understaffed but hey its was a early spring day the sun was out and so was everyone else, I think they were caught of guard a little.

I had my birthday here on feb 7th on a Saturday. Small place so they were reluctant to take our reservation. Took a while to get a call back which was my only issue with the whole experience. We had 18 people in a place that sits maybe 60 with the patio closed. We had great service, they even let us put my cake in back. Love the pizzas. Very creative menu. My personal favourite is the seracha chicken or the comfort zone. It’s definitely a cool place to eat and drink in penticton. Penticton needed a place like this and it’s nice to see them continue to have success. I think one of the people we were with made a point of complaining about the service, I’m honestly a little embarrassed that that happened and wrote this review to let them know to keep up the good work and that we appreciate that they accommodated us.

Bad Tattoo Brewing Company: We had PIZZA for BREAKFAST! (I know, I know — you«can’t have pizza for breakfast» while in town for wine events!!!) What a wonderful Brew Restaurant. They specialize in Artisan Pizza and Beer. We enjoyed the Forager and Los Muertos which is a pizza with Arugula Rocket on it. The coffee was wonderful — strong and black. Martin, one of the owners took us for a tour! Nice touch, and boy does he know his stuff. I know he was speaking English, but I had no idea that yeast had generations. Brewing is definitely a science. The facility was purpose built for the restaurant and brewery. It is gorgeous, clean and as you will see from the photos has a wonderful patio. There is good parking, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It is nice to see people who are happy to be at work and care about what they do! More than happy to tell a guest how they create their amazing thin crusts to the black beer brewing in the tank in the brewery for the Day of the Dead Mexican Celebration. This place is a must see in Penticton. Fresh ingredients, exciting pizza menu — If you have come for the wine country experience — Bad Tattoo will be a perfect palette extender for your magical weekend adventure!

The Radler was thirst quenching and tasty(says my wife). The IPA was very good and was hard to say goodbye to. The Caprese pizza off of the red menu was a great size for the 2 of us(we had a large and eat lots), the crust was bang on and the pie had a good mix of flavor. We’re from out of town and here for a short time. We’ll be sure to check in again before we leave. Boom.
