My new favourite place! Things I love about it: Super alluring menu. I will usually pick out one of a few items I’m used to, but I wanted to try everything on this menu. I want to try the fried chicken and waffles next! Conscientious side choices. You know how most places are like«all entrées come with fries! Sub poutine for $ 2.99!» Well this place chooses a side for you. My tacos came with chips and salsa. Sliders come with a small poutine. Chicken and waffles comes with sweet potato fries. Food: I ended up going for the shredded beef tacos which were superb. Portions were good, temperature, texture, appearance. It was all lovely. Prices. Most everything was 10 – 12 for entrées. Service. Good and friendly, no complaints! They did goof on my friend’s shredded beef poutine which came out sans beef. It was quickly added without fuss when we told the waitress and was, by all accounts, delicious. It was also COMPED. They comped the whole poutine. C’est tout. I will definitely return.

A great, warm sports bar atmosphere with delicious beers on tap. I wasn’t there for food but I would definitely return to taste more of the menu!

I had dinner here with my husband today. For pub food, it was very good. The thing I like about St. Louis Bar and Grill is that they have specials every day of the week, not just Monday — Thursday like most places. We both had their Angus burger and fries. Since it’s Wednesday, the burger and fries were only $ 5. The regular price is $ 9.99. Domestic pints are also only $ 5 on Wednesdays. My husband had 2 pints. I had the«Buried Treasure» which was basically a mix between a margarita and a piña colada($ 7.09). I love that their $ 5 burger special includes fries(unlike at Whispers where their $ 5 burger special is just the burger — a basket of fries will cost you an additional $ 5.99(!) — don’t even get me started about that!). The burger was good. It was thick and juicy. It wasn’t a gourmet burger; it tasted like a mass produced burger, but for $ 5 it was a great value. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. You have to pay extra if you want cheese or bacon. The bun was plain with no sesame seeds or poppy seeds(yay!). The bun was fresh and tasty. When I first saw the fries I thought I wouldn’t like them because they were thick cut, but I actually loved them. They were so crispy, not starchy at all(like thick cut fries usually are — I’m looking at you, Kojax!). They were sort of ribbed/rippled, which I don’t see a lot. We got a good quantity of fries. My drink was good. It was slushy and blended smoothly. It tasted literally like someone took a margarita and a piña colada and mixed them together. I love both drinks, so it was awesome! Service was good. Our server was Leah and she was friendly and competent. The place was packed and I noticed that a lot of people got the burger. The décor is typical pub décor. They have 9 TVs, all playing sports. It’s in a strip mall close to the big Walmart but separate from it. The little strip with St. Louis has a Thai Express, a GNC, and at the time of the writing of this review a vacant spot for lease. There’s free parking. There are not too many spots in the little strip where the restaurant is, but if it’s full you can just park in the larger parking lot where Walmart, Bai Du, Zaki’s etc. are and walk over. I would definitely come back for their specials :)

I have to say that my first visit to this location didn’t impress much for a couple of reasons. FOOD: St. Louis has a burger special on Wednesday nights where you can have their angus burger for $ 5 with the purchase of a drink and both my friend and I went with that. The base burger(which costs $ 10 at regular price) comes with essentially nothing(just lettuce and tomato). Every other ingredient is an ‘extra’. If you want a slice of cheese, that’s an extra $ 1.30. If you want a slice of bacon, that’s an extra $ 1.50. As such, adding other ingredients to make the burger more interesting and comparable to the competition pushes the price up quite a bit. As I also found the taste quite unremarkable, it isn’t something I would recommend, especially at regular price. Deciding to be a bit healthy, I choose a cesar side salad which is I guess as good as you would expect at a place like this. SERVICE The cesar side salad also caused a second gripe I had as when told by the waitress about the choices of sides for the burgers, I went with the salad not being told that it was an additional $ 2 charge(yes it is on the menu but we didn’t have them when she took our order and asked about the salad). That to me is a service no-no. LOCATION The Clyde location isn’t very large so I don’t think it would be good for a large group but it is big enough that you shouldn’t need a reservation. PARKING Parking is a bit limited but since it is next to the Walmart, you should be able to find a space even if you have to walk a bit more. — Since I have been to their Elgin street location a couple of times before and not being a fan of that one either, I have to say that I don’t think I will return as their menu just doesn’t fit with what I am looking for. However, if you do go, I would definitely do it on a night that has their discounted menu items.

I added an extra star since my last review because their skirts are getting shorter and shorter and their boobs are getting bigger and bigger.

Went to St. Louis with the family for lunch. Everyone ordered something different, and we ordered a couple pounds of wings to share. The food arrived reasonably quickly and tasted pretty good. The price was fair and typical for bar/pub food. Wait staff was friendly, but a touch on the slow side when it came to the bill.

Been out here a few times the service seems to fluctuate. I’ve waited a long time for food when the place was empty, but gotten food right away while it’s busy. The wait staff has always been friendly, though one night it seemed like our waitress had too much to drink. The wings are decent with a large selection of sauces; and come with fries and a garlic dill sauce. The fries are actually quite well done here. Also important to note, they keep a dedicated frier just for wings. This is wonderful news for people with life threatening allergies to fish and seafood, as it means their wings are not fried in the same oil as fish. Their pulled pork sandwich is wonderful and definitely worth it. They offer pulled pork with 2 different sauces: a Memphis BBQ, and a Honey BBQ.

If you don’t like those places that make their waitresses wear short skirts… don’t come here. Food is good. We came for half priced wing night. Wings are served with fries. Which are awesome. Desserts were scrumptious. Gained about 10 lbs while dining here. I enjoyed it all. Very courteous and attentive staff.

French fries and dill dipping sauce anyone? I never thought I would be so in love with this combination but it is delish! Their poutine is not too bad either. Also tried a couple of bites of the fish tacos and they were good. They also came with tortilla chips on the side and salsa which I thought were meh, would have been better with fries on the side! ;) You do have the option to change your side to a salad, onions rings and so on, but for $ 1.99 extra. Their drink menu is very limited. The only girly sweet drinks on the menu that I saw were a couple of martini’s. I ordered one for $ 7.99 and it was strong. I liked it, but not sure if I would get it again, maybe if they had a martini special I would! The layout is nice and feels like you are downtown at a bar, without all the travelling, especially if you live close by. Service is alright, I mean the staff are all fresh meat, but the servers definitely tried to do their best. They had a full house around 6:00pm on a Friday night, which was nice to see! I can see myself coming here to sit at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night. Will be back!
