The waitress was reasonably friendly, but given how empty the diner was, I would have expected better service. Aside from that, the food ordered by my girlfriend did not taste completely right and the chicken shawarma I ordered was underwhelming. I would not recommend this place.

Only came here because each time we wanted to try Perkins across the street, it has been packed so we keep trying Piper’s hoping it will improve. I have been here three times. All times we’ve had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before even being acknowledged by anyone. Staff would walk by us but avoid eye contact. Finally a hostess will come and seat you at one of the many empty but yet to be cleaned off tables. There are serious management issues here. I always see the same girl standing around doing nothing while the waiters and waitresses work their butts off. Maybe instead of standing around she could clean off a table and seat patrons? She must be a relative of the owner to be able to get away with being so lazy. Onto the food. Its terrible. I ordered an eggs benedict and instead of telling me they were out of English muffins so I could order another item, they served me two slices of brown soggy bread covered in hollaindaise sauce. The waitress asked me if that was okay… well I don’t really have a choice do I? When everyone else at our table has their food and I’d have to wait another 45 minutes for another meal if I sent it back. It was awful, I couldn’t get passed 4 bites. Other people at my table also expressed how disappointing their meals were. The place is dirty and when you walk in you can feel how unorganized it is. The washrooms are a whole other level of gross. I’m pretty confident the only reason this place gets any business at all is because it is right beside a well run busy breakfast restaurant and people only eat at Piper’s when Perkins is full.
