After I completed order for half chicken, two legs and two legs. I was waiting and after twenty minutes, got informed no more legs. I have two options either to wait more 30 minutes or to take all breast. Not happy at all. Specially we were fasting and only 15 min remaining for Iftar.

I love Nando’s. I hadn’t been in quite awhile, and it was my first time at this location. I ordered the peri-peri chicken pita — medium spice level, with potato wedges. The pita was a good medium spice, so it had the right amount of heat to flavor. The potato wedges are my favourite and they have a little kick to them also. Everything is always well cooked whenever I go, in that the chicken is moist and juicy. My coworker got a side of the sweet potatoes and they looked really good so I just might have to try those next time.

I love being able to decide how hot I want my dish. I love the chicken wings(but than again I love ALL chicken wings). The number system really works but the service is still too slow for me. Still unclear whether or not this place is Halal or not?

Went for lunch and had the chicken skewers with the vegetables and the rice sides. I found the chicken to be pretty decent(I ordered it hot and will go for extra hot next time), the vegetables very good, and the rice to be a bit bland and too dry for my taste. I also had an mixed olive appetizer, which was absolutely delicious, but I have a weakness for olives. Ordering at the counter at least bypasses the need to wait for a server, and the food arrived pretty quickly. Everyone working there was nice, friendly, and clean-clothed(it matters to me when it comes to chain restaurants!) The décor is pretty cute, and the bathroom was nice-looking, well-stocked, and clean. Overall the food was decent for a chain, and it was nice to go there as it seemed to have more of a variety of food than other places.

Nando’s is something of a novelty in the UK, so my boyfriend and I were happy to find one in Nepean. I was pretty happy with the experience! You order your food at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Cool, rustic décor. All of my friends ordered a chicken sandwich with sides and I ordered the chicken wrap. The chicken is fresh and delicious. The buns are so good, and they use them for the garlic bread too. I think their fries were the best, though. One of my friends said there wasn’t enough chicken on his sandwich, but that might be a personal taste thing, or he just enjoyed it so much he wanted more. Knowing their reputation for hot sauces, I opted for the more mild Lemon & Herb sauce. It was really tasty and a very subtle heat, so I think I could go up to Medium next time. Great place! If you’re bored of Swiss Chalet, check it out!

Aww yeaaa! Chicken. Chicken my friends. Apparently there is a super famous restaurant chain in London that is also called Nandos. And everyone raves about it? I know about it since two of my British friends eyes light up whenever they speak of this place. I guess the story is something about he chicken being Portuguese? I dunno I wasn’t paying attention because I was too busy stuffing my face with the chicken and the FRESH bread. As soon as you get in you will get hit in the face with that grilled chicken smell. We ordered the family pack — two whole chickens, [lemon and hot] with 3 large side dishes and tons of bread.(Garlic and regular). The sides were: salad, fries and grilled veggies. *The salad was plain, but nothing wrong with that! *The fries were alright. I normally like my fries on the crunchy side. *we didn’t touch the grilled veggies because we were too busy eating everything else * the chicken was plump and tasty. My mouth is actually watering as I’m writing this up. We had tons of food left and we were three people with big appetites.

We called into reserve and they said it was empty and once we arrived, asked to wait for 20 minutes! Terrible customer service as they blatantly lied even after we arrived!

Food was ok. But for the amount of food you are getting for the price it’s very bad. 18 bucks and still hungry after. Will not be returning.

This was my first time visiting Nandos chicken. The restaurant was clean and smelled yummy! The woman at the cash was really nice. She explained the different menu options to me. I decided on the Piri-Piri chicken sandwich with Herb & Lemon flavour with the Piri-Piri fries to go. It only took about 15 minutes to get my food. It was good! Next time I will get the chicken a little more spicy. The chicken was cooked well, and tasted great! But I felt like there wasn’t a good chicken to bun ratio though. There was too much bread and not enough chicken. I will definitely go again and try something else!

Well, the chicken wings are very dry, prefer juicy meat. Like the bread! Tasty!

Great food. I like how you can choose the spiciness. I always choose mild chicken and add a little extra hot sauce they have on the tables if I want the extra spiciness. You can take out or sit in, but it is interesting how you pay when you order if you sit in. The machine even asks for your tip? How can I determine the tip before I even get my food?!? In this case, I would opt to forgo the in initial tip and leave it on the table after, if I choose to sit in. i just hope the staff doesn’t think badly of not leaving an initial tip, and the service or food lacks because of the consequence. Still very good chicken though.

Great chicken. Great sauce. Careful the hot sauce is very hot. Love the Peri veggie side option instead of fries. Good value for $ 10-$ 15

Time: 9:40 pm on a Saturday. I went here with my buddy and we were first intercepted at the cash. She asked for our order and we each gave in our order(Spicy half-chicken) and then we had to pay. The the reason why I didn’t give a 5⁄5: We had to pay immediately after ordering and before we sat down. We also had the option to tip BEFORE experiencing service or friendliness or whatnot. I didn’t like that. It kind of stated«if you don’t tip well. we’ll poison your chicken». I thought this was a higher than an average fast food chain. The food itself was great. The chicken was flavourful. The fries we’re good as well. The sauce selection is very limited. Only; lemon, kinda spicy, spicy, very spicy, extra extra spicy and ketchup.

I heard about the awesome chicken of Nando’s and I immediately think Portuguese style grilled chicken which I’m a BIG fan of. Delicious grilled chicken with a side of kick? Yes please. I swung by this Nando’s and picked up the chicken with a side of piri piri fries. It looked delicious I’m not going to lie. The fries were OK. They seemed like like dry seasoning and weren’t as spicy as I was hoping. The chicken really fell short especially considering how long I’ve heard the chicken here was awesome and the fact that YKO and Pili Pili exist in Ottawa now. I didn’t find the chicken seasoned at all. It was cooked alright but had absolutely no flavour. I’m not sure how any of the other sides are but the chicken definitely isn’t the greatest.

Uh Oh there is some chicken competition growing in Ottawa. Forget the really big chains, there is enough good chicken to be had in the smaller chains/one off restaurant. So after trying the broasted chicken I had to the try the nando’s peri chicken. Oh boy was I excited! Chicken to me is like tofu of the meat world. It is only as good as the flavouring and cooking. Well after chowing down on two super ‘hot’ chicken legs with a side of spiced rice and peri fries I think I can give you an honest review. So to my awesome readers, I’d just like to say this one is good in my books. The chicken is tender, juicy and flavourful. That’s not all though, because with the chicken you also get great service, nice environment for a relaxed lunch/dinner with some friends. On top of all that the décor and writing on the walls of this restaurant are pretty hilarious. Going to a restaurant is about good food and a good experience and this one delivers on both for a very reasonable chunk of change :)

I’m updating my review on Nando’s because I normally get take out, but this time I got to experience dinning in the restaurant. Went around 6:00pm on a Friday, which is a busy time for Nando’s.(I am guessing it’s still their supper rush?) I was with 2 older ladies, who needed a bit more time to understand the menu, so they asked a few more questions than normal. The cashier tried to answer the questions that they were asking, but also wanted to get the line moving, and then the eye rolling started. Hey, my family were newbies and tried to get the least spiciest meal, and weren’t sure if they wanted french fries or rice, or the half chicken, or quarter chicken… Yaaaah, if I was the cashier I’d probably get a little impatient as well. It was all uphill from there though… The food arrived very fast, and pipping hot. I ordered the lemon garlic chicken sandwich with peri-peri fries, and it was very tasty! They also have bottles of peri –peri sauce on hand for dipping, that’s if you can handle the heat! Free ice water is also served at your table by the waitress. Beer and wine is available as well. The décor inside was cozy. Lighting was dimmed, and there were enough seating for customers during a Nando’s rush. Dinning in at Nando’s was a nice experience. Prices are usually $ 9-$ 12.00 per plate, depending on your sides, and how many pieces of chicken you get. It is also kid friendly as well. I will be back next time I have a craving.

Yum yum yum. The chicken, the rice the mediterranean salad… all yum! Be sure to play with the sauces. Do not order hot unless you can really take it… it killed me!!! I am reducing my review one star from 5 to 4 because they dont have a separate lunch menu… way too expensive for lunch. Oh! You gotta try the chicken wings!

Living in a basement apartment with no BBQ sucks but having BBQ chicken at your fingertips from just down the road rocks! My fiancé introduced me to it and I had lived and gone to school in the area for almost 8 years without knowing it was there. The Hot will make you remember it for days depending on who you are so make sure you go with a little less spicy if your not used to it!

Nando’s is known for its chicken, because frankly, they do it really well. However, some of their non-signature items also deserve mention. I tried the Caesar salad with the Peri-Peri chicken sandwich, and it was very good. They didn’t go stingy with the dressing, and matched the quality of many of the more expensive restaurants. I also enjoy the spicy-scale they have, as I personally like my food spicy. Naturally, I went with the extra-hot level! Nando’s is a restaurant in that they they take the food to you, but is qasi-fast food in that you order up front, and the cashier also serves as the server. It makes for a casual yet non-fast foodish atmosphere. Another non-chicken item that is underrated here are the fries, which are crispy. I also enjoy the special Nando’s sauce they have, which is always good.
