Kravings is a good little bakery/café that’s been open for about a year, across from the AMC in Kanata Centrum. It’s an excellent alternative to Starbucks, and just the spot for a date after a movie.
The good:
Their coffee is all fair trade /organic, from Equator roasters in Almonte.
Excellent cakes, tarts and cookies
The space is airy and modern, with lots of seating
The berry/whipped crème crêpe has fresh berries and real whipped cream. YUM.
The meh:
Baked goods can be a little stale if they’ve been sitting out all day. Ask what’s fresh first.
Prices are a little higher than competitors’, but I’m happy to have another local business to support in the Centrum. They’re doing a great job so far.
