We specialize in the designing and building of beautiful custom decks & outdoor spaces, with a special focus on Cedar wood. Related features such as pergolas and privacy screens are used to provide an outdoor space that balances form and function. We’re also known for our interior work in renovations, including bathroom, kitchen and basement remodels and custom cabinetry.

History

Established in 1980.

Neil Harding, the owner and lead carpenter, started the business in 1980 when he and his wife were expecting their first son. The company became Incorporated only a few years later and has remained a family owned and operated business for the more than 30 years since its founding. Over the years, both of Neil’s sons have been involved in the business, and the company has stayed true to its’ principles as a local-​Ottawa business that focuses its attention on one job at a time, giving each customer and project the attention they deserve.

Hi, my name is Neil Harding. I started Harding Carpentry in the fall of 1980 and incorporated the company in 1982. I sign my name to every project that we take on, so the quality of each every job is of the utmost importance to me. Working on just one job at a time, we strive to provide top quality work on every project.

I’m the owner, estimator and the site lead carpenter. There are no middle men or sales people in our company. As your single point of contact, I am present and available on every job; ready to answer any questions you may have. This ensures a smooth job every time, eliminating any possible misunderstandings that can occur when dealing with multiple people from one company on a project.
