I was here recently for an early dinner with my husband. We had a very different experience than Samantha M.(below). I have to say that I read Samantha’s review before going so I was a bit leery, but fortunately, we didn’t have the same problems. The guy who served us(slightly long wavy hair) was super nice. He smiled, chitchatted with us and was really friendly. We said that we wanted the $ 7.50 Trio Special that was on the sandwich board in front of the restaurant and he gladly gave it to us. So maybe it was a different guy, or he was having a bad day when Samantha saw him, or was having a great day when we saw him. Who knows? But we did not have any problems with the service. I had the beef sandwich with potatoes and a pop, while by husband had the chicken sandwich, with rice and a pop. So the beef is ground beef formed into a kebob, while the chicken is chicken pieces(not ground) kebob style. The meats were flavourful and tasty. They wrap it in a pita and the toppings are like typical shawarma toppings. The thing I really like about the lettuce topping here is that it’s not just lettuce, it’s more like a salad, so carrot, and red cabbage pieces are in it in addition to lettuce. And it was fresh because the carrot had a nice crunch to it. As I recall, they only have one type of garlic sauce here(regular, no spicy option); it was good, but lacked anything that makes it stand out above other places. I really liked the potatoes though. They were crispy and nicely spiced(had a slight spicy kick to them). A little bit too oily for my liking, but not as oily as some other places. They also have ketchup here in case you want ketchup instead of garlic sauce for your potatoes. Ideally I like my food handlers to wear gloves, which unfortunately they don’t here, but I did appreciate that the person making my food(the guy) was a different person than the person taking my money and working the cash register(was a girl). So they get points for this over some other places. Oh yeah, and they have a sign that says their meat is halal. The place is small though. Just one table for 2 and a counter that seats about 5 or 6 across. They also don’t have any garbage cans, the girl comes over when you are done and clears your table for you. Overall everything was really good. If you feel like having a kebob wrap as a change of pace from the ubiquitous shawarma wraps, I would recommend going here. I would definitely go back.

This place is new to the shawarma scene as of sometime last week. I know what you’re thinking: another shawarma place? Yup! But this place’s shawarmas taste different than most other places. I think they use more vegetables, and the chicken isn’t from a spit, they grill it so it has a charcoal-y like taste, the garlic is also milder. I thought it was delicious, and had a different, but similar taste to the shawarma I know and love. The shawarma itself was pricey, around $ 8 for a small. I hate to say it but if this place isn’t willing to lower their prices to around the same as their neighbours Castle Shawarma and 3 Brothers I don’t think it’ll last long. Another complaint is the f*cking grouch that made my sandwich last night. They had a student special advertised: a small chicken sandwich, garlic potatoes and drink advertised very clearly outside their door for $ 7.99, the sign wasn’t there when I back the second time. I asked the guy who said there is no student special and never was, very rudely. I was also curious as to why the shawarma here was so different than other shawarmas, and explained to the guy that it didn’t taste like other Lebanese shawarmas I’ve had and then I asked where him or the owner was from. He gave me the dirtiest look ever and then said«Lebanon». Jeez buddy, lighten up. — 1 star for prices and grouchy grouch.
