History
Established in 2013.
Chefx began in October 2013, with 10 of Ottawa’s best Chefs on board contributing recipes as our featured chefs. We were very pleased to receive early enthusiastic reviews by several Ottawa food writers and bloggers, including the Ottawa Citizen, Ron Eade’s «Omnivore’s Ottawa», Anne Desbrisay’s «Capital Dining», and Ottawa at Home Magazine’s Paula Roy in her «Constantly Cooking» blog. We have also since been featured in Ottawa Magazine’s annual «Eating & Drinking» issue, on Rogers Daytime TV, and on CBC radio’s «All in a Day», with Alan Neal.
We began by offering only 2 meals per week, but in November 2014, we started also offering a single meal option, as well as several pick-up points. Several other innovations are planned for 2015 — stay tuned!

Business Owner
Jeff Heaton launched Chefx in 2013. He got the idea for the business after taking a gourmet cooking class, and realizing how easy it was to make an amazing meal wen the ingredients were all laid out in front of you! Why couldn’t you deliver a cooking class to people’s homes?
Jeff has engaged many talented people to help make Chefx what it is today. From the incredibly talented chefs, graphic designer, photographer and web developers, to our operations team and our packing and delivery crews, our product each week is truly a team effort!
