So I am heading home to Toronto and I am a little hungry. I have passed several Timmy’s and I am bored to death of their factory made sandwiches. Now as you see from the few reviews I have done. I am not inclined to write about something unless it really impresses me. Well … my instincts made me turn into a little shop and I think I may have inadvertently found the golden jewel of bakeries. Let me start by saying. OK … Not a lot of glam but the friendliness of services was like sitting in Mom’s kitchen after getting an A on your report card. OK .I didn’t get kisses but I did feel a warmth like I was their best friend. I ordered a spicy Italian sandwich with well. as I fumbled for additions, the owner whose name was April took it upon herself to list a few things and like reading my mind designed one for me. The Sicilian bun was blessed with hot mortadella, hot genoa, hot capocolla, spicey eggplant and roasted hot peppers. My journey to heaven began. All I can say is why isn’t there a place like this in Toronto? Truly a great place AND they have all sorts of yummy stuff you can take home as well. If you drop in you will not be sorry … Tell em AL sent ya. Ummmm … Maybe I’ll just stay for a cappuccino !
