Decent Chinese restaurant. Strange location — small and unassuming — but they do an especially good job with potstickers(jiaozi, or wor-teep to us Cantonese-speaking peeps). I think the owners speak mandarin though. Stir-fried lobster is excellent. Peking duck is good but not the best I’ve had. White cut chicken was pretty good. They have a dish that is fried tofu blocks with shrimp paste balls on it that’s also pretty good. Unsure if they have separate menus for Asians vs non-Asians…

Worst Chinese food I have ever ordered. I ordered a General Taios chicken and it was disgusting. Runny sauce that had no flavour on top of greasy fatty chicken. It seemed as though the chicken was stripped off of a chicken wing so there was so much extra fat and very bland. I would suggest ordering Chinese food from anywhere else in the city.

The food was good but the service was extremely slow. It took 50 minutes after we ordered for the first dish to arrive.

Customer service here DOESN’T EXIST!!! 11 people in the restaurant, 1 server. Waited 33 minutes after ORDERING and we still got nothing… Not my coffee, my sons tea, our soup, spring rolls… ABSOLUTELYNOTHING!!! After going to the cash and showing the OWNER on my phone how long we had been waiting… 33MINUTES without getting anything we decided to simply cancel everything and walk out. WILLNEVERRETURNANDWILLNEVERRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!!! Not worth the aggravation or time!!! Rather spend my hard earned money where they actually care ANDGIVESERVICE!!! No wonder there were only 11 people there on a Saturday night at dinner time. SIMPLYDISGRACEFUL!!!

This just became my favourite Chinese restaurant in Ottawa. As I approached the building, my expectations started sinking because it looks shady from the outside. But once I walked in, I was glad to see that it was quite nice and clean. I got their spicy beef noodle with braised tendon, I like this over regular beef pieces because the meat connected to tendon is extremely tender and it just melts apart in your mouth. I also got the steamed buns which were great.

One of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa… wish they had a location in TO. I have been going to Brother Wu for years, since high school. Every time I visit my parents, I insist on going for lunch. They specialize in Szechuan dim sum and I recommend: the pot stickers(kou-tien), steamed dumplings(xiao long bao), green onion pancake, and the spicy beef noodle soup. Yum, yum, yum!!! The owner is a philosopher; maybe he’ll give you a free reading! I have a rain check for one, the next time I visit. He is also very proud that Steven Harper frequents his restaurant. I won’t let that bias my review…
