Excellent burgers, we definitely over ate when we visited this place. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and yummy burgers … The homemade mustard was amazing!

Service was good. The food is good but burger was a little on the dry side. Nothing exceptional about the food or place.

The Smokey Mac & Cheese was heaven and their Bite Me burger was extremely juicy! Their $ 5 pints after 9pm deal wasn’t terrible. Definitely a repeat customer.

Great place all around! The back patio is gorgeous and so comfy on summer nights. Much variety on the menu and it’s all delicious! A few things are actually very old authentic recipes from the owners mom. Very sweet couple who own the restaurant, the restaurant has a great look and style!

I went to this burger place 2 weeks ago with a group of friends for a birthday party. We went pretty late so the place was pretty empty but it is not an indicator of their food at all. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the server was super friendly and helpful! I was beyond impressed with the selection of beers and beverages. The burgers are phenomenal! I got the special of the day which was a smoked burger with smoked gouda, smoked mushroom and smoked bacon and it was amazing. I had it with a side of truffle fries and I wish there was more on the plate! The more and more I think of the food, the more and more I want to go back. I’m becoming addicted and I’m going tomorrow night with other friends to introduce them to the deliciousness! You definitely won’t regret going there and you will leave full(I was still full the next day!). Soooo good!

I was disappointed with the burgers. They are under seasoned and seem to completely lack any fat. How does a burger with pork belly in it come out so dry? I did really enjoy the truffle fries, but the Mac & cheese was under salted. Service was fine.

If you go here, sit on the back deck. It has a beautiful tree. You can’t go wrong with a burger and fries. Ask about wine, not on the menu. It can be busy depending on the time of day. Excellent service!

Quel bon burger !

I’ve been here a couple of times and each time have had a great meal, in a cool atmosphere, with excellent service. All of their burgers have a gourmet twist and are super filling. At &12-&16 a meal, you are getting a really great deal! One experience that stands out for me was when we had ordered the truffle Mac and cheese but received the truffle fries instead. I didn’t mention anything to the server, waited until he walked away, then confusedly asked my dinner partner if we had ordered this. The waiter overheard the question and immediately came over and apologized, and insisted on correcting the order even though we said it was fine. The fries were on the house. I’ve always found the staff here to be friendly and quick to accommodate. A well deserved 5 stars!

Have been here on several occasions and have been very impressed each time! Service is always welcoming and excellent, the burgers are divine, the truffle fries are mindblowing, and the décor and atmosphere are classy yet welcoming. The wine list is extremely well curated and they have a rotating and awesome selection of craft beer.

I had the beef burger with goat cheese and it was no short than heavenly. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his burger which was done just right. When asking about a kids meal, the server recommended I’d share one of my side dishes with my child –which worked well as eating one side was enough for me, and was appreciated. Service was great and attentive. It’s an upscale burger joint and it is pricer than most other places, but you get what you pay for!

Great atmosphere, cheap craft beer after 9 pm and burger was fantastic. A bit pricey for what it was but I would recommend it.

Bite burger house is our go to place for a really good burger. The service is great and the atmosphere really relaxed. The Mac and cheese is delicious as a side with the burger. The patio in the summer is really nice and the front porch is fun to sit and watch the traffic go by.

When we arrived(still in balmy autumn), there was no one in the front and few people inside and we wondered why… Until we were led to the lovely patio in the back. It had a lovely atmosphere. Our server was just perfect — a wise cracking lady who took good care of us — it was excellent, prompt service. Her ‘tude was a nice complement for a girls night, especially when she told us to forego the salad for the truffle fries. Dunno what the salad tastes like, but the fries were to die for. They came with a side of burger(in my opinion anyways), which was moist and delicious. I’m sure it was a total calorie bomb, but from a taste perspective it was all worth it. Throw in some lovely local beers on tap, and it was a great night out.

Yay I’m a fan! Bite Burger House is a very cool upper scale yet hip atmosphere take on a burger and fries joint. It is a quaint restaurant located in the Byward Market. The restaurant is on the smaller side but I’ll tell you every table was full. The menu had a lot of delicious looking options. I had the pig pen burger(had bacon and pork belly in it) with mac and cheese. The burger was to die for and the mac and cheese gourmet. Delish and props on both!!! My husband had the bite me burger(hamburger, cheddar and smoked bacon) and he was equally pleased. The fries that came with his were yummy as well. While I would give the food a 5 out of 5, the one downfall was the service which I would give a 3 out of 5(this is how I came up with an overall 4 out of 5 for this review). The service was professional and friendly but was really quite slow. It took 15 minutes before we had drinks to the table and then following that we got everything we needed in terms of service but it was the bare minimum. Management should consider putting another server on shift because ours was run off his feet. Bottom line, I recommend and will be back!

Cool atmosphere, my boyfriend and I went a couple days after they opened and were pleasantly surprised by the décor and overall vibe. I’m a vegetarian so ordered the beet burger with truffle fries(I know, why would I go to a burger joint??? Because he wanted to go!) he had a regular burger with truffle fries. The beet burger was ok at first but the more I ate of it the grosser it was, they could do a way better job with a potato/veggie burger or even a portobello mushroom cap… the truffle fries were ok. He said that he enjoyed his burger but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. What was extraordinary was the truffle Mac and cheese that we split as an appetizer! It was delicious! I won’t be visiting BITE again because it just didn’t do it for me, but have borrowed their truffle Mac and cheese idea to make at home! I like the idea of going to a restaurant to get something that you aren’t able to make at home, or not as well, and BITE just didn’t meet these expectations and I found a recipe for truffle Mac and cheese that blew theirs out of the water… I don’t recommend visiting but you should try to make that Mac and cheese!

I had a chuck bacon cheeseburger. It was good but the bun was a couple days from fresh. We had the truffle fries which were delicious. My friend had a chicken burger which was dry and rough cuts of meat. They had fresh squeezed juice blends but they were quite small. Service was very friendly and attentive but seemed to fall apart when preparing the bill. We waited about 30 minutes between presentation and processing of it.

I had an early dinner here with my husband recently. Bite Burger House is a really cool kind of place. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff are very nice. I had the Bites and Chips($ 12) and my husband had the Bite Me Burger($ 13). The Bites and Chips were not your typical Fish and Chips. It’s basically some stuffing(yes, as in Thanksgiving turkey stuffing) with gravy poured on it, then it’s topped with fries and then topped with 2 pieces of battered and fried fish. It was a little unusual, but the server did warm me before I ordered it. I really liked the fish. The batter was flavourful and was very different from any other batter I’ve tasted. It was thick, but not in a fluffy and bready kind of way, but in a dense and«substantial» kind of way. It’s hard to describe, but it was delicious. The fish was meaty and flaky and done perfectly. The fries were also excellent. I think they are twice fried, but I’m not sure. They were golden and crispy and definitely not from frozen. I can’t say I was too crazy about the stuffing or the gravy though. The stuffing was too mushy and the gravy was really fatty(I could see big fat globules floating around) yet not flavourful, but rather bland. After the initial bite, I gave the stuffing to my husband. I appreciated the fact that they were trying to be different(I love and encourage creativity), but I think I would have liked this dish better if it was just the fish and the fries. Or maybe if instead of stuffing and gravy the bottom was a layer of fried plantains or something like that. The Bites and Chips also came with coleslaw. I am not a fan of creamy coleslaw so that too went to my husband. Had it been a vinaigrette coleslaw I would have eaten it. I had a bite of my husband’s burger and it was excellent. The Bite Me Burger comes with double smoked bacon and cheddar. The bacon was thickly sliced and crispy. The brioche bun was fresh and I liked the fact that it’s plain and doesn’t have pesky sesame or poppy seeds on it. The burger patty itself was full of flavour and a good size. The burger came with lettuce and tomato(it was on the side on the plate, so you can put it on your burger when you’re ready to eat it). His burger also came with fries. They make their own sauces and condiments. Their smokey ketchup is awesome and so is their grainy mustard. I really enjoyed it here and look forward to returning and trying other items on their menu.

we stopped in here on their 3rd day open… we ordered a cheeseburger to split for my daughters and i went for the pulled pork sandwich and the poutine. the burgers were really tasty, juicy, and solid fries… the poutine kicked butt… and i’m not a poutine person frankly. The pulled pork i found a little dry — i go more for the wet bbq sauce style… my daughters however loved it. it was very entertaining to see the«nervous» buzz of a new restaurant… lol this place will just get better and better — you can just tell.

Definitely the best burgers in Ottawa! They also have a really good vegetarian burger with gluten free bread. This place is a must. You should try the booze milkshakes! The Elvis is fantastic.
