Infinite Woof’s is a non-profit organization in rescuing pets and animals, from neglected and non-responsible homes in Alberta. They have multiple events throughout the city of Edmonton, and surrounding areas. Their staff are primarily made up of volunteer fosters, who aid and nurture these animals and then try and find them permanent homes with loving families. The admin members of the rescue may have their hearts in right place, but it has been found that their motives are aimed more towards a steady cash flow into the rescue. This rescue has been known to adopt out aggressive pets to homes, where there is recorded evidence of these pets injuring and killing other household animals. The rescue has been known to force feed their fosters in overloading them with animals to where, people are housing 6 to 10 pets in a single home, in any given time and its to this reason, why the rescue has such a high turn over in foster homes. The rescue has even gone as far to explain that their own rules can be breached by their fosters, in allowing pets to go to homes before the animals have met the standards in which the rescue was built on, and where admin staff members are more concerned about the bottom dollar, then the welfare of the animal just because of the volume of pets in their care. The rescue has been known to take vetenary actions into their own hands, and administrating vaccination shots for these animals in the back of a ½ ton truck, without any proof and or record for the adoptive parents. There has even been times, where the admin of the rescue, can’t even keep track of the ages of some pets, and when they are due for further vaccinations. A word to the wise to those who are thinking about joining the fostering part of this group — DON’T! The coordinator is well known to threaten foster with lawsuits of slander and I have personally witnessed the coordinator herself, call the local RCMP on a foster for trespassing, when they were only returning property to the rescue after being«fired» by the rescue. If you are planning on rescuing animals from local rescues, my heart goes out to you. I would recommend that you explore all your rescue options before contacting this group, in both volunteering to be fosters and adoption. You may not get, what you had hoped, in providing a «fur-ever home» for a rescued animal.
