Original Joe’s Restaraunt & Bar

Decent restaurant/​bar. Rather dark interior compared with other establishments but tastefully decorated with local photos of Okotoks– which is a nice touch. Noise level is reasonable, there’s background music but you don’t have to shout to make yourself heard.
Decent beer selection– probably the best in town– including several local craft beers. It’s particularly worth going on Saturdays when all Canadian beers are $ 5 per pint– a promotion that I have taken advantage of frequently.
The food is pretty good. The fish and chips are the best I’ve found in any bar or restaurant in Okotoks– the batter is usually crisp rather than soggy and the chips are done just right– not over or undercooked. Worth looking for specials too– pretty much everything on the menu is tasty.
I’ve been going to OJ’s quite a lot recently and have not experienced any issues with the service or servers so far. Certainly no worse than anywhere else in town.
I’ll definitely be going back for dinner and drinks, and I’ll look forward to it as well.

Horrible service! Our server blatantly questioned us as to why she did not tip on the debit transaction, when we said that we were planning to leave a cash tip she still continued to explain rather aggressively why we should tip and then to huff away. Needless to say she did not get the tip after that display

I’m not sure about this place. I have been here a few times and I find the food good but the service is more a miss than hit. I will go back but will leave shaking my head with the service.

Four of us went in here for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the nachos and they were excellent, huge serving. Nice selection of beers on tap including some local ones. Staff was friendly & efficient. Hope to try them again on my next visit.

OJ’s is a great bar for food and drinks.
It serves the same food and drinks everywhere that I have visited an Original Joe’s, but I’m never disappointed and there’s no exception in Okotoks. If you go for wine night or just to casually sit down for some beer and hummus, it’s a good place to go.
You’ll be paying fair price for their drinks and food but watch for the specials to try and make some savings. The servers are very nice and the clientèle is generally well behaved.
Overall, a good place to go and have some drinks in Okotoks.

OJ’s in Okotoks is the place to be! A regular spot we visit at least 2 times a week or so. Every time we have visited the great staff at OJ’s, we have never been disappointed.
The food is fantastic. The staff are courteous, professional, funny and prompt! We have always been treated in a fantastic way and everyone now just recognizes us as the Okotoks Honda Boys and pretty much can guess what we order.
Favorites include: Chicken Fingers & Fries (regular or sweet potato), Quesadillas, Nachos (ohh, the nachos — so good) and everything else on the menu is amazing.
Whenever you are in Okotoks and want a great place to eat — visit OJ’s and tell them the boys at Okotoks Honda sent you!

My date and I popped in for dinner one evening. Our overall impression was the place is, at best, average or likely below average when you compare to other «chains» like Moxies, Earl’s, etc.
Nothing really jumped out at you as «horrible,» but nothing screamed «great» either. The interior, menu, and service were all uninspiring. So we simply ate and left.
Likely, we won’t return. There are better options in town for dining out.

My buddy and I decided to try this place out. I must admit, the nachos looked delicious but it was simply too much to have with lunch, maybe next time. The service was average although friendly when they came around. I had the sweet potato fries as a side and they are worth having if you come. They had my favorite nonalcoholic beverage (O’doul’s) so I cant complain about that but the place was just average. Nice enough to go again, it was ok.
