Description

Specialties

The creators of the National One Design Sailing Academy (1DSailing) have been involved in sailing and sailing education for many years through traditional sail training programs and decided that from both the student and the instructor perspective, there had to be a better way to satisfy the adult sail training demand. 1DSailing was created to introduce an «adult» way to learn sailing.

In 2014, 1DSailing is operating 12 Flying Tigers seven days a week on Lake Ontario, Lake Simco and Lake Lanier. The Flying Tiger is such a versatile boat that can be relocated relatively easily and the 1DSailing sail training program will also be available in other areas of Ontario from time to time during the summer. You should check with our office to determine when we will be in your area.

All 1DSailing instructors are qualified, certified and experienced sailors. 1DSailing is recognized in Canada by ‘SailCanada’ and in Ontario by the Ontario Sailing Association (OSA), in Nova Scotia by the Nova Scotia Yachting Association (NSYA) and in British Columbia by BC Sailing. When 1DSailing commences operations in your area, we will meet and exceed all requirements of your Provincial Sailing Association before beginning operations.

National One Design Sailing Academy Incorporated (1DSailing) is a Federally Incorporated CANADIAN Company.
