Meh. Had a dulce de lece slice with coconut — meh. Raisin muffin — very oily. Meh.

Italian bakery way up Jane Street. We had the cannolis, which had a very different texture than others ive had on Corso DItalia. Maybe the bread is better.

I found the bread always fresh but the staff are horrible. I have been here a few times(and would not go again) as the staff are rude. The place is not always clean which is another turn off. I think this place could really do well if the staff received some training on customer service.

The bread here is great, especially when they just bring it out — my parents often buy from here and we literally sit in the car and eat a loaf each before going back home. The cakes are really good as well — on the pricier side but worth it knowing that it’s made in store. They’re also not too sweet either, which is one of my biggest worries about cakes. My favourite is the vanilla cake. DONOT order online. I ordered a vanilla cake online yesterday, and they didn’t know about it when I came to pick it up and asked if I called them for confirmation or vice versa(why would I do that when they have an online ordering system?). Unfortunately, they didn’t have premade vanilla cake so I just got a strawberry shortcake instead, still delicious but I will be back to fill my vanilla cake craving!

The food here is pretty good. I got a few prosciutto rolls which is prosciutto in the middle with mozzarella cheese on top then rolled into a bun type roll thing. It was actually pretty good. They’re display of cakes and pastries looked really good as well. I may have to come back to try them. The layout of the bakery is kind of weird. Everything is all over the place and there are racks of bread in the middle and then deli on the side, and it’s really hard to see it unless you take a thorough walk around. Other then that service was good, they were quite polite and courteous. If you like deli sandwiches, fresh bread and such then this is a pretty good spot for the price.

I was ready to give a five star to this one but then I saw something gross. I’ll get to that. Anyway, I was doing some training in the area so went here for lunch twice. They have awesome sandwiches. Fresh baked bread, you choose the meat and cheese from their deli counter, then they top it how you like with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, etc. Cheaper than Subway and absolutely delicious. The desserts look awesome too. I got cheesecake one day. It was only like three bucks for a slice and was really tasty. Anyway, the second day, I watched a worker filling the sandwich roll basket with fresh bread. She dropped one on the floor. She picked it up and put it back in the basket. She looked at me and saw that I had seen her. She was all dilligaf about it, though, and just walked away leaving the floor-bread for someone else’s lunch. Personally, I don’t care about floor-bread or a hair in my food, I’d eat it anyway and just brush off the dust or pull out the hair, but I understand that some people aren’t as chill as me and could have a giant issue with floor-bread so I thought it was worth mention.

When I’m getting Chinese food on the occasion I like to stop off in this bakery to pick up a mini cheese cake, a cannoli and the like. They offer a variety of treats to take home in a cute little box as well as fresh bread and the sorts. The staff are nice and courteous and the prices are decent.
