This store is extremely dirty and poorly managed. There are always lineups of 30+ people or more per cash stands. They always have insufficient cashiers working there. They have the entrance/exit area blocked so that you don’t take the karts out, so how are people suppose to put a full shopping kart in their car? Do you let your groceries at the door while you go get your car, then park it at the front? Do you ask elderly people or other people that require assistance to carry all their bags to their car? No wonder why shopping karts pile up at the front until you have to find your way through it like in a maze. Then, upon your exit, you notice cashiers/staff members smoking near the front of the store instead of opening extra cash stands or mopping the dirty floors. It should be common sense that a place that sells or serves food should be clean and well maintained.

This isn’t a great store. It feels really cramped, yet doesn’t have a ton of selection. Prices are pretty high, considering there’s a No Frills down the street, but I guess you can’t be too choosy late at night. Lines are long(even at 9pm!) and you can’t take your cart away from the door, which makes carrying a ton of groceries alone pretty tough. Are you supposed to take several trips to the car? Leave your cart by the door as you bring the car around, then park illegally? Quality of the produce is not bad.

Prices are too expensive and it’s always busy with long check out lines. Why it’s OK? Because they are open 24⁄7 and when you go late at night everything is restocked and nobody there.

If you appreciate your life and don’t have time to read that novel below… average grocery store. Cheap water bottles for the apocalypse, if you’re wondering.

I recommend this Metro(and it is a Metro, despite the Dominion name on Unilocal) for quick after-work visits or perhaps to pick up some snacks before the big game. This store is an old-fashioned Dominion at heart with narrow aisles and without large-sized packages. The narrow aisles are filled with promotional stands, which is maddening when you’re playing cart chicken with someone else. Most frustrating is that you can only take your cart about five feet out of the store and can’t get them past steel barricades. So, with a normal cartful of groceries you’re forced to make two trips and leave your food at the mercy of some totally sketchy characters, usually a guy with a mullet, a coffee and a cigarette, or perhaps a senior a few buttons shy on his shirt. I won’t do another even average-sized shopping here again. It’s just not worth it. On the positive side, the store gives Air Miles.
