So just found out this guy didn’t even replace the CV boot… are you kidding me!!! Got a refund for it and hope no one ever goes to this place… unless you wanna give away your money and risk your life driving a car that wasn’t fixed.

John at Vanwonder is a treasure in Vancouver! A man who clearly loves his work, loves the cars he services and always has the time for a chat. They specialize in VW’s and Hondas. We’ve had both makes serviced by John and his team — always done a solid job. Most importantly, he keeps his customers in mind and is very very trust-​worthy — more than once he could have easily upsold us on more work, but he said the car didn’t really need it yet, and it was more something to keep an eye on. Great service.

I believe John to be the VW expert. I don’t live in Vancouver anymore but will travel the hour back for John to do his magic. Has given me great advice on numerous occasions and use him for my pre-​purchase inspections too. Appreciate his honesty. Hands down the best in Vancouver in my opinion. You will not be disappointed.

Having been, first poor, then only slightly poor and later poor again i can tell you that i have owned enough used cars to start a hockey team… of used cars, uncompetitively, and i can assure you that i have been jerked around by all sorts of shops who claimed to know what they were doing. At one point i had become so frustrated by my experiences that i went to auto mechanics school so i could learn how to fix my own car, and the cars of my friends. I did it, and i do it. I also try to keep people from getting taken in by shops who throw parts at problems, upsell unnecessarily, just don’t have the tools or knowledge to fix the problems properly or in a timely manner. I do it, my wife says, because i am hyper-​sensitive baby.
If you have a problem you need solved, john can solve it.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
