My car was running rough spitting and spurting and my check engine light came on. I pulled into the short stop and was promptly taken care of and they diagnosed my problem as a dirty air cleaner. I was thinking major tune up but Kyle fixed my rough running engine for a few dollars and an air cleaner. I found the place very clean and friendly.

We took the car for them to look at and let us know what is wrong with the car and they called us saying that the car is already fixed and ready for pick up. Then they charged us triple the price for something we didnt authorize them to do! When we took the car we realized after that they didnt even fill up the part with any fluid! anyways not worth the headache honestly.

This place is a joke. I brought my car in to check a squeaking in the brakes,
they told me that I needed to replace the rotors for $ 180. After doing this, the car smells a bit and the squeaking persists. After calling them about this they said that it should smell a bit and make some funny sounds with new rotors and that,
«we didn’t check the brake pads»,
they then told me that the issue that I brought my car in for them to fix was the result of my buying cheap brake pads and that it was my fault.
At a place with Brake in their name I would have thought that they would have been able to take care of a pretty routine thing, not just charge me for wild guesses.
Avoid them, there are so many other shops that won’t disrespect you and charge you randomly.

On our way to Whistler on a Friday afternoon, and realized the muffler had come loose and needed fixing. Stopped here and everything was fixed within 30 mins. Big repair? No. But the service was great, they gave me some great advice, told me I could take my daughter across the street to the kids play area in the mall, and — in addition to the solid service — seemed very honest and focused on doing the right thing for me.
I would definitely recommend Shortstop. They helped us out, and did so quickly for a very reasonable price.
