The guy who took care of me today was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to help me decide the best pair of shoes I needed. Great customer service and I will definitely be going back when I need another pair of work shoes.

Tough Unilocalers out there. I don’t know if they were unlucky or I was lucky but I had excellent service. The man who helped me was patient and let me try on plenty of shoes while handling another customer and keeping a smile on his face. Gave me good advice about the shoes and how to care for them. Also gave good advice about which shoe was better for what. Took off 10 $ because he’s awesome. They have a great selection of good quality shoes and I think at competitive prices too. I’ll be going back to buy some blundstones for sure.

This store has«Final Sale, No Returns» policy on new shoes purchased. I found out the hard way. I spent some time there, but none of the shoes were comfortable and accommodated my bunion. Then, when I was about to walk out, the salesman suggested a slipper/shoe by Romick. It seemed comfortable. He warned me that Romick soles are injection-moulded rubber and that they decay over time and requested that I wear them aa soon as possible. When I got home, I tried them out and found that the soles were probably too noisy on my hardwood floors. I am very considerate of the tenant living below me, so I looked at the receipt and discovered that there was a tick mark in the box«Final sale, no return.» I am rightfully peeved. Now I remember how charming the salesman was. He didn’t want me to ask, «What is your return policy?» which is what I usually do whenever I purchase anything. So I am also kind of peeved at myself, but still… I’ve only had them a day and they are definitely unsuitable, plus the fabric lining irritates my bunion and the salesman assured me it would not. In this day and age, it is customary for a store to have a service-oriented exchange and/or return policy. I will NEVEREVER go back to that store and I do NOT recommend purchasing anything there, simply because of their antiquated«Final Sale, No Returns» policy, which they do NOT mention at point of purchase.

Disappointing service. An older lady gave me a bad time, criticizing my moves. She’d thought I’d left a demo shoe unbuckled, came up beside me and picked it up and grumbled as soon as I’d put it down.(It was already unbuckled, how rude regardless.) That was after she’d seen me with my iphone in my hand and said, oh you’re there just to take pictures! Grrr! I interjected that the other service lady was the only one on the floor and was very busy with other customers(this whiner had just come out from the back of the store and was on my case so fast. Not even a smile.) I explained that yes I wanted to take a picture of a brand name I’d never heard of and look it up, as I was just diagnosed by a podiatrist with foot problems and wanted to research good shoes for my unhappy feet. I shouldn’t have to explain myself. The nerve of her. After the store died down, the two staff talked miserably towards each other, so I decided it wasn’t a very friendly environment. I stuck it out with a smile, being cordial, leaving them with a cheerful attitude towards me but I’ve decided not to go back. I’d wanted to visit this store for ages(recommended by a friend who said the male owner went out of his way, providing her wonderful service. I was not so fortunate.) I’d plodded up the hill on my bike from downtown and hadn’t expected such a shift in attitude. My referring friend is disappointed. I hope those women reconsider how they project their environment/treat a customer. They left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Too bad.

Amyn was very helpful and also mentioned that prices will be increasing all over in the following week(we shall see) but regardless i just wanted a little customer services, a few questions answered and i was on my way with(FINALLY) my new blunnies! it was about time cause my foot was wet from my old trashed ones. he couldn’t believe i had them for so long! haha. you and me both buddy, you and me both.

I called this store in September, and asked if it was part of a chain. Clerk: «A what?» «A chain. Is your store part of a chain?» Clerk: «I don’t know that word. I only work here part-time.» «Chain… c-h-a-i-n.» Clerk: «I don’t know that word. Sorry.» «It’s like a franchise.» Clerk: «French fries?» «No, no. A chain is a big group of stores, like McDonald’s.» Clerk: «Uh… we are not owned by McDonald’s. There’s another store downtown.» «Yes, I know… so are they owned by the same person or company?» «There are only two of us who work here.» I wish I was kidding.
