Honey’s is a Deep Cove tradition. I’ve lived here 36 years, and I bring everyone I meet that’s never been. Beautiful location, fabulous food(in particular the doughnuts), and amazing owners and staff. Absolutely love this place and will continue to visit as often as I can.

Highly recommended by Unilocalers, so we decided to give it a try(we were staying about about a block away) we got the chocolate and the honey doughnuts. they are really good.

They need to open up all around the city so good best donuts even the day after if you warm them up for 30 seconds they are just like new so good I don’t like how busy it is but it’s worth it

So we had been told about this darling little town, and we were very happy that we went. The hike was fantastic to the lookout point, but afterwards when we came to have a honey doughnut as we had been told to do we found them to be nasty tasting and very heavy dough balls. The place was swamped with tourists in early May and the people behind the counter had nothing to say to their customers, not polite or interested in you or able to give you more than just taking your money and handing you your food. Do yourself a favor and head up the street to the beautiful and classy little café, Café Orso, fantastic food and pretty interior!

Oh my god! The best dog nuts EVER! Go with the honey donuts. You will see them and think they are plain. But they are honey. HONEY!!! Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Can’t say enough how many times I have sent people to Honeys with very detailed instructions on only eating one, and to start with the original, then work their way through the collection of chocolate and Maple Honey’s Donuts. You might want to eat more, but you will savor the first while hiking the way to the rocky peaks Deep Cove View.

Best doughnut in the world. At least after a hike. I didn’t want one but my pregnant wife insisted. So we waited in line, a line that ended up tripling in size after I found a table for us. My wife came back with two doughnuts and being sour-faced(read: tired), I said I just wanted one. A few minutes later, we removed the second honey doughnut from the other bag and scarfed it down. (5 stars for just the doughnut, as I didn’t have anything else)

Cozy café on a cute small street. It’s a short distance from the beachy scenic areas so it’s a nice location for a snack place. Because the donuts are always baked fresh, there is always at least a ten minute wait. I went on a holiday so there was also a long line up. It also sucks that they fry up small batches at a time. The donuts themselves are great but VERY greasy. I love that they are served warm. They have an egg-y sweet taste and the texture is airy and fluffy. Customer service wasnt very good. The cashier was impatient with customers and rude to staff.

An incredibly crowded place filled with tourists. I came here on a late Saturday afternoon at 4pm, and the amount of people inside was just insane. Had to put my name down for a single honey donut. I had an Americano, and my buddy had a straight up black coffee. Americano wasn’t too bad. After 30 minutes, I collected my donut and could not wait to take a bite. One word of advise, these donuts are not for the faint of heart. The paper bag in which the donut came in was soaked in grease. I took it out with a paper towel, and within half a minute, that too was a grease-fest. There was so much grease, I could see my friends face right through the paper towel. The donut was also incredibly sweet, and as much as I hate to waste food, I could not bring myself to finish it. The worst part of it all, I had a major headache after ingesting all that grease and sugar.

To be honest I didn’t like their donut at all, too sweet for my taste. My husband liked it, but to travel all the way and wait in line to get this donut… not worth it It tasted like a bulk of fried dough soaked in honey… just not my cup of tea.

I’ve only ever come here as a destination on a bike route, so maybe that makes the donuts that much tastier, but oh boy they are so good. This spot is pretty popular for cyclists, being a good distance away and not too difficult to ride to. The donuts fuel you up for the ride back, and the hours appeal to those wanting an early morning ride. I think I’ve tried all the donuts here, and the honey one is still my favourite, although last time they gave us a speciality doreo, a honey donut with an oreo inside. I love this place and the staff, they’re always so accommodating and it’s no wonder that this place is always packed.

Very popular local institution. The breakfast sandwich is to die for. Not mad on donuts so won’t judge. Can be crazy busy at weekend and holidays

Honey delivers a serious donut that has no rival. Unlike the fluffier donuts you see, Honey does up an almost cake like donut that is neither too dense or too light. The outsides are fried to perfection and the flavours are strong and bold. There isn’t that much variety, but I was so excited by this place that I ended up getting one chocolate, one maple, and one original. Sadly, I didn’t get to try the bacon maple donut(which a friend of mine told me they sell), but it was still delicious. My favourite though was definitely the original honey donut. The coffee here wasn’t too bad, but the donuts were definitely the main attraction. Regular coffee is self serve, so they will give you your empty cup — just go filler up at the coffee station near the front area. You’ll probably end up having to line up, but they move through the line very quickly(almost too quickly as I felt a bit rushed and stressed that I was holding up the line with my debit transaction). Basically, know what you are ordering and make sure you have either cash or debit. They don’t do credit. They also have a small café attached that serves as a sit down area for brunch(and I assume lunch as well). I’ll have to come try out their eggs bennys next time but for now, I am completely satisfied with their donut offerings.

First off I’m a local so I know our food. This place is known for their doughnuts and is a landmark in Deep Cove. Unfortunately, the service and owner’s permanent scowl or as one Unilocaler put it hilariously«we were all just debit cards on legs», cheapness and harsh remarks of «we are not starbu$$s!» if you ask for an extra lid or free water(if you are not a customer! — see their mini cups!). I understand the small biz owners’ plights but they do ok with lineups out the door and a long waiting list for their doughnuts but it doesn’t make it ok to treat customers or potential customers like that! Mind you, the owner does have 3(?) little kids and a full-time business to run! The doughnuts are exactly what they state — doughy! or deep fried bread(lots n lots of oil soaked up in there!) The tastiest I had was maple bacon which is more expensive for some reason. The doughnuts literally are soaking in oil but you can’t tell until after you eat one or even half, and see how you feel… your heart is heavy, your stomach unsettled etc. They are very tasty but because of the heavy dough — they soak up more oil than say a Krispy Kr## donut. Had lentil soup — good, shrimp salad sandwich was bland and asked for a lemon wedge — she had to ask permission from the owner and then 10 minutes later or by the time I had eaten half the sandwich she came back with a flimsy one. Dare I say cheapo el cheapo? Drip Coffee ok and not special or flavorful by any standards. See the Naam for Inca roasts. yum!

If you want a freshly cooked, delicious honey donut, dripping in warm syrupy honey on a sunny weekend, then be prepared to wait at least 30−45minutes after you order. Is it worth it? If you have the time to wait, then absolutely! Nothing quite like this particular warm donut fresh out of the deep fryer. It’s one of those must do’s in deep cove. Had a sandwich here too while waiting for my assigned batch to be made. It was good, not amazing or out of this world, but pretty good over all. Quite filling. Come for the view, stay for the donut!

Best donuts. Love the Maple Bacon donut only available on the weekends. Big Breakfast Sandwich is also a winner. Always a line up out the door.

Late breakfast kinda early brunch after this hike we did around the neighborhood trail near there, we stopped by for a doughnut and coffee at Honey Doughnuts and Goodies! This place was pretty freakin’ delicious. It’s a small shop that has a coffee area, and a set of tables to sit inside and a few tables outside provided the weather is nice. I only had the coffee and a maple doughnut — b/c i’m in Canada, everything is all about the Maple syrup right? It’s a cute place to eat… Damn it the whole damn city is cute! Anyway coffee, doughnut — need i say more? Yes — the maple syrup doughnut is awesome! I can never get enough maple syrup flavored anything in my life so with that said — i should have gotten a dozen to take with me back to my hotel and eat all by myself, but i didn’t. That was my failure.

Um no! I think people are just mislead when it comes to this place. It’s a donut shop in a beautiful location — that’s it!!! No you don’t have to go to Honeys Doughnuts when you visit Deep Cove! Maybe just try the pizza next door.

Dough balls deep fried and glazed in sugar — yes please. Sensible creations, delicately decadent and truly memorable. I’m gonna eat these guys out of business! Loved this place and by looking at the crowds HUNGERMAN wasn’t alone. The lady noticed I was starving and salivating all over the floor(in which I apologize). I tried to sweep it up with my sandal but that only made it worse — my bad. She moved to take my order before several others as she saw HUNGER MANs desperation to devour was at a critical stage similar to a apocalyptic defcon 1 scenario. A smart move because when HUNGERMAN has deliciousness in his laser beam sight cross hairs people in the way could potentially get hurt. Just kidding HUNGERMAN moves around a restaurant with grace and finesse as this is all business! HUNGERMAN respects the respectable. The staff are just that and it shows in the pride they take in running and cooking in this delightful environment! These moist treats were fantastic. Clean environment, great location, ok staff. I will EAT you again soon.

The only item that I tried was their signature honey donut, and I agree with a few other Unilocalers that it’s far too oily and not cake-y enough. I feel like it’s a really hit or miss with their signature donut because some people love it while others(like us) found it far too greasy and heavy. I honestly couldn’t even take another bite after being overwhelmed by the oily donut so I ended up not purchasing anything else. To be fair, we did visit right before going up the Quarry Rock hike so we didn’t want to load up on carbs in the first place. I may come back to try their savoury items but I feel that Honey’s is just a bit over-hyped.
