Lady Hammond Bar & Grill

Very unpleasant experience. Service was great but overshadowed by management belittling employees. it ruined everything about my breakfast, as well as my day. I do not give any props to the management but I do the employees that have to deal with it on daily bases. I sincerely hope they can start respecting their employees as they should.

i moved to halifax this year and live right by the chebucto inn and it’s restaurant, the lady hammond bar and grill.
as one of my first experiences in the city (just an easy diner breakfast with bottomless coffee), this restaurant did the city proud by offering the FRIENDLIEST service i have ever experienced. honestly. if i was just stopping through the city and was taken care of by these folk, i’d make sure the whole world knew how friendly the maritimes are.
their breakfasts are great and cheap, with eggs cooked perfectly. other menu items such as the greek salad are really good too. this isn’t gourmet, but hits the spot just right for a casual lunch.
5 stars for service and bang for buck

I’ve only been here for Breakfast. It’s a cheap decent diner breakfast and there are some days when that’s really all my heart desires.
Coffee served in a white diner mug that isn’t the best coffee in the world, but keeps getting refilled while you polish off your bacon, eggs, toast with jam and hash browns.
If you’re in the area and hankering for a cheap breakfast, you’ll get your meal fast, it won’t be too much to pay and you’ll be off on your way with a full belly and a happy heart.

I love a greasy diner for breakfast.
I love it even more when I can get that breakfast for under $ 5.00. Yhea you heard me: 2 eggs, choice of meat, breakfast potatoes and toast for $ 4.90.
This place is nothing fancy. They don’t serve fancy coffee but the coffee they serve is delicious diner coffee (the kind that will have you gulping it down to get to that second/​third cup). No fancy jellies for your toast (strawberry and orange marmalade) and while we’re on the subject of toast your choice will be just as «unfancy»: white or wheat.
The service will be fast. The food will come out just as fast. It will be cooked short ordered just the way you like it.
Just plain breakfast.
Just plain good!
