If you’re looking for a über-charming B&B right off the main-street in Niagara-on-the-Lake, look no further! Al and Laurie have established«Two Bees» as a peaceful oasis for all your«getaway» needs. The location is perfect. It’s walking distance from the main-drag and a short drive away from all the wineries. Our room, the Dickenson, had a whirlpool tub and nice sitting chairs. In the hallway outside the rooms there is also a 24⁄7 coffee/tea/soda/water fridge/keurig setup which was wonderful. If you’re a book/music lover, you’ll be delighted by the plethora of books and CDs spread throughout the house and in the rooms. There is a variety of music available, but with a preference for jazz(which I share). The living room space is cozy and has comfortable seating with a nice fire-place. Breakfast is outstanding: 1) coffee, high quality tea, juices; 2) a fruit and bread starter(we had a great yogurt parfait with granola and loads of fresh fruit; and the BEST peanut butter-chocolate bread!); 3) a main plate with something either savory or sweet and usually some kind of little meat on the side along with some kind of salad(our main one day was a decadent orange maple french toast, and it was an egg/broccoli soufflé another day; they mix it up well). Al and Laurie, in addition to being very friendly and gracious hosts who make an amazing breakfast, are also very knowledgeable about the local restaurants, attractions, and wineries. If you’re looking for recommendations they’ll steer you right.
