Scottish Loft

This is a fascinating little shop on Queen Street, NOTL’s main drag, with a big selection of Scottish, English, and Welsh gifts such as clan crests, kilts and tartans, DVDs of British dramas and comedians, books, clothing, jewelry, and British food products such as candy, biscuits, preserves, canned goods, gravies, sauces, pickles, and condiments. They even had «Royal Baby Commemorative Mugs» celebrating the birth of Prince George displayed in the front window (no, I didn’t buy one, although I was tempted).
I really would have liked to explore The Scottish Loft more, but it’s a small place and at the time we visited was very crowded. I wanted to check out the food section for some lemon curd and ginger nuts, but the food was all kept in a very narrow hallway at the back of the store which was totally blocked by an elderly lady with a walking device literally as wide as the hall.
I look forward to browsing in this shop some other time (preferably during Niagara on the Lake’s «off» season).
