One of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Poor quality food. The calamari was super greasy, the Mediterranean appetizer had way too much pita and barely any spread or veggies and the worst of all was the salmon entrée since the salmon was full of bones! Yuck!

Mediocre food! Made me very upset because the place was busy. I thought that a busy place equals some what decent food. I can’t believe they have a banner stating they have the #1 fish and chips! So me, loving fish and chips, decided to go there with my friend. Service was quick and somewhat inviting. Our server was extremely sweet and kind. That’s why I gave this place two stars instead of one. As soon as I cut into the fish I knew it was going to be horrible. The batter was so hard and the fish was extremely dry. I don’t like to return food back to the kitchen, so I dealt with it. Maybe they were having an off day, but you should always be serving good fish and chips if you have a banner up stating that you do! I’m just super upset about the whole experience.

For a pub … Did not have wings, but good house red beer, French onion soup fair but good shrimp and a little pricey for what you get.

Canadians must be fickle about their food as I found my experience to be quite pleasant. We were in the area for a wine-country tour and dropped by the main street to check out some dinner options. We dropped in about 7pm on Wednesday and was seated right away. Since the front of the restaurant was dominated by a bar and flat screens blaring some droll coverage of guys kicking a ball around, I thought it would be more like a sports bar with barely edible food. We ordered the fish n chips, mussels appetizer and some fish dish. The mussels came first and they were amazing. Living in California, I’ve always had my fresh mussels imported from another state. I thought those were great, but the mussels at Corks were even better, almost like they came from a nearby marina. I loved the wine sauce and nearly lapped it up with the bread. The fish n chips were pretty good, according to my wife who had plenty of the original in London. The fish was fresh and flaky. My fish dish was a bit odd. The fish was fresh enough, but they encrusted it with heavy seasoning, almost like they’re trying to drown out some unpleasantness. In any case, it was a solid meal and we tabbed out at $ 65 Canadian with tip. For $ 46US, what a bargain.

This establishment uses frozen meat, fish, and fries for all of its dishes… rather disappointing given the elegant ambience of the village centre.

This was a very nice outing in niagra. It’s very quaint and comfortable. The food is well flavoured and big portions for the price. I like the set up of old tables and chairs makes you feel like your eating in an old home. There’s limited selection of food items but they have a great variety of wines. Service was very relaxed, but it was a packed house on a long weekend so makes sense

Nice place to seat down and eat. Good local beer selection. We didn’t get to try wine but I’m sure it’s good. We had prime rib on buns, calamari, and garden salad. The place was full but service was fast and waitress was kind. Stop by if you are around.

The food has no flavour, we came here twice and tried different things each time but the food was flavourless

This place is vile. The only thing they have going for them is their location. Oh and the service is decent. The food however, is atrocious. We had the lamb ragout, which no doubt came out of a large vat of processed sauce, slopped on top of noodles. The Caesar wrap, had old chicken in it. My stomach couldn’t digest the bacteria for hours after. Don’t waste your money here.

Decent value for price. Great service! Very nicely priced local wines and variety of beers. Fish and chips is good as well as Cod and schnitzels.

Get the lamb! Who knew you could get the most wonderful lamb shank at a pub? Tastes as. If it has been carefully prepared over the course of a few days. Truly worth its weight. Also cannot go wrong with the lamb burger!

Comfortable and casual setting with solid pub-style offerings. Fish and chips was a very good rendition thereof– with generous portions. Substituted a Caesar salad for one of the chips plates. Again well done and good portion size. Octopus ceviche was tasty. All in all a good meal at reasonable price. Their house beers are good, just not exceptional. Service good. Would return.

They charge a 18% gratuity for large groups. This wasn’t mentioned on by the wait-staff or was shown on the menu. Because of this, we got our main courses a hour later. It was only half crowded. We saw another group that came in after us get served before us. Another group got their food 15 minutes after sitting down. Our waiter pretty much ignored us the whole time after getting our orders. As our food was brought out by other wait-staff, I would guess the kitchen staff and/or manager was in on it too. They knew about the large order and pretty much gave the food to other people first. He really seem to enjoy telling us at the end about the mandatory charge. Food wasn’t that great.

Was pretty packed. Our waitress was pretty cool we had a good time with her. The food was not too bad. I had the Mediterranean salad which was top notch. The soup and crab cake not to bad. The fettuccine with lobster was not the greatest. Very expensive for a mushed up lobster. The fettuccine and seafood was alright but definitely not worth the price.

I’m giving this place four stars because it is one of the most affordable places to eat at NOTL. And it is quite good. The place smells a little musty, but it has a nice serviceable patio. Additionally, there is live music inside sometimes. On a recent visit, the girlfriends and I split the Greek appetizer platter(feta spread, baba ghanoush, hummus, pita, etc.) and it was quite tasty. For dinner, a friend and I split the house salad and the Greek pasta. Not earth shattering, but considering the fact that all of us had been eating rich food and tons of wine all weekend, it was pleasant to eat some simple well-cooked food that was also affordable! I would definitely go back here when it is warmer to check out the patio.

I’ve only ever give ONE other one-star review on Unilocal… until now. My husband and I came here famished but ended up leaving almost as hungry as we came in. Our«cornmeal dusted calamari» was so rubbery, we could barely cut it(and the portion was small for the price). With our already faltering confidence severely shaken, rather than order lunch entrees(which didn’t look great anyway), we opted to order an additional appetizer instead. But the crab cakes were actually«KRAB cakes» — yep that’s right. FAKEKRAB. Plus, we had to ask for refills on our waters. Bleah!!! The beer & wine selection looks decent but other than that, don’t waste your time.

Stopped in for dinner but saw that nobody was doing much more than drinking which is never a good sign — places that have good food are full of people eating! Ordered an ice wine martini that came in a partially filled glass, it was OK but not worth almost $ 12 when most places charge between $ 8-$ 10 for a full glass. Beer was fresh though! Also had a French onion soup which was fairly nondescript and unoffensive(read: not much flavor.) Service was just fine. The place has a pretty nice large open front porch which is excellent for drinking & people watching. They have a stage & live music as well.

Lamb ragout was delicious. but the darn house flies that kept attacking us and our food was so annoying. and we weren’t even on the patio! Have been here a couple times prior and always have had delicious food.

This used to be a wonderful place to eat, but sadly the quality of the food and service has really deteriorated. We asked to put two tables together so that my family of six could sit together. «No, you can’t do that» we were curtly told. Later when I asked if my elderly mother could order a child’s meal as she can’t each much, again, rudely we were told«No, you can’t do that.» Once the food arrived it wasn’t as good as previous trips, and we never saw our server again until she dumped the bill on the table. I had to go to the bar to get my son a glass of water. Such a disappointment, we shan’t return.

Parfait pour prendre une bière et un fish and chips(à prendre pour deux) ou un repas de même nature. L’endroit semble populaire auprès des touristes et les plats me semblaient bien présentés.
