Me and my boyfriend wanted to have a romantic fun weekend. Thinking we would be close to everything this would be a nice place to stay. The problems: — dirty mirrors, — mould at the bottom of the shower curtain, — mould in the toilet, — carpets are coming up almost tripped on them, — the air conditioner turns off and leaves the room hot at night, — WIFI very weak! Couldn’t get a signal, — no channels on the tv anything that came in was fuzzy and would freeze — breakfast had no selection, — the only thing that was decent about this was that it was walking distance to all the locations, didn’t need to drive.

Came over here for a romantic weekend. Hands-down one of the worst places ever. Let’s start with the TERRIBLE Wi-Fi that never works. Staff may seem nice but they don’t really help with anything. Secondly, the sheets were never changed in the room when it came to housekeeping. And other residents did mention workers snooping into their bags when entering their rooms. Thirdly, the washrooms were disgusting, with mould growing in and around the toilet. Good thing, there was at least hot water! Fourthly, their TV may be «Smart» but it comes with 22 channels that stop playing in the middle of a show. Finally, the rooms have just one tiny bin to throw any garbage you have and a lot of the light bulbs don’t work. Only good thing, i would say, was it’s central location and free parking. That is it+ Would definitely not come over again.

My girlfriend lives in Ontario, I live in New York. We meet half-way every other weekend, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I am beginning to become a Niagara Falls expert, particularly when it comes to hotels, although I have not yet stayed in all of them. That being said, the Glengate Hotel stands out as one of the best reasonably-priced hotels in Niagara Falls. It’s not fancy, but comfortable and clean. The underground parking garage is a little tricky to navigate, but at least your car is safe. And it’s not very far from the attractions, within walking distance on a warm day.

During our recent trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, we decided to find a hotel on a budget. Of course the price is attractive, around $ 50-$ 60/night. The reviews on trip adviser were not bad, so we decided why not. The hotel is located approximately 2.5 km(or 1.5 miles) to the Niagara falls. Although you may think«that’s not a bad walk,» welll… it is. Not because of the distance but the fact the location is soo SHADY! There are lots of empty lots along the way, raggedy grass areas, shabby homes, etc. I live in Houston and I get enough of that here! The hotel itself is also shabby as well. The hotel parking lot is very small(~8spaces) with tight spots. They state they have a basement area for additional parking, but it is very small and scary looking. The hotel inside always smelled a bit funky… I can’t exactly pinpoint what kind of smell it was… It was just bad. The rooms and bathrooms are very small(which I expected). On top of all this, there were several problems: lights flickered and sometimes didn’t even come on, cable initially did not work, bathrooms were dirty, no wifi on the second floor! Next thing is the breakfast… Well it is pretty much all kinds of cheap carbs just bread, bagel, muffins and cereal. I mean come on, at least we could use some protein. Consequentially, we skipped breakfast a couple days. Yes, mostly everything about this hotel was bad. However, I do want to state that the day manager was very kind and always helpful with all our«touristy» questions. The night managers were not as attentive. Anyways, if you plan to visit Niagara Falls, Canada, don’t be cheap and choose this place. Just book one of the other overpriced hotels near the falls and get a good night’s sleep.

My girlfriend and I made a spontaneous trip to Niagara Falls, and didn’t have any accommodation booked. We got this place last minute, and much cheaper than everywhere else. We were pretty happy. The guy working there was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included. Great place if you are on a budget.

I was on a road trip with my cousins and sisters on a budget. This place soo cheap compared to the other hotels of the city. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the bedding smelled the fresh laundry detergent. The only problem is with the breakfast. It’s like a buffet so you better wake up early to eat as much as you want because there’s literally no breakfast left overs since its included in the price.
