History

Established in 2004.

Sandra Pantlin started Quayside Petspa & Daycare in ²⁰⁰³⁄₀₄.

This was when Carnarvon Street was Ground Zero. There was no Azure Towers or a fancy new skytrain mall. At that time, there was an empty fenced in lot across the street and a busloop leading into the skytrain. Sept 15^th 2010, Sandra sold the business to Kasia Cobb-​thats me! I was a customer of Sandra’s two years prior to the purchase of the business.

I now had some big shoes to fill;-) And the name Quayside did not really fit my vision. So I decided to change the business name to Charlie’s Petspa & Daycare. My inspiration for this career change was to find something that incorporated my dog. I had a demanding job and worked very long hours. And I disliked not being able to spend time with my dog Charlie. So I bought a business and named it after him. So here I am now and I get to spend everday with my Charlie. And he seems to like being Charles in charge. WOOF

Business Owner

First moved to New Westminster in 1992 from Victoria, BC. Graduated at New Westminster Secondary School in 1998. Went to Douglas College and studied Sport Science while working for Fitness World in Surrey, BC

from 2000 – 2004. Worked at SLS Lighting and Pace Illumination in 2005 to 2007. Moved back to the island and worked for Accenture. Then managed an electrical branch in Nanaimo for Westburne. Transferred from Nanaimo branch to Coquitlam then to North Vancouver. And that is when I met Sandra and shortly then purchased the business Sept 15^th, 2010 *Attended School at Western Dog Grooming School Jan-​April 2011
