Now that we have settled in to our new hood, we’ve had the pleasure of spending some time getting to know some of the locals at the Annexe St-Ambroise whilst enjoying a pint or 3 of the latest seasonal tap. What I really like is that the bar is never too loud or too crowded. You can have a conversation over the music and whatever B movie is playing. It’s not uncharacteristic to end up talking the latest Dr. Who fanfare or to reminisce over how cool a ‘regular’ TV screen was compared with the new HD. The barkeeps on duty are always friendly, the kitchen churns out good bar foods for growling tummies and everything is very reasonably priced.

The wait is over! The McAuslan folks made the wise business decision to invest in a brew pub and now Montrealers can taste their full selection of beers on tap during the entire year. For now the pub offers only few snacks, but I’m sure more will be on the menu soon. First impression of the pub, beautiful wood interior, cosy, inviting. Location, next to the brewery, a little bit far away from metro station, but parking is available and this neighbourhood really needed another bar. Conclusion Annexe St-Ambroise is made with love for those who love the McAuslan beers and because I love them, I’ll continue to visit the pub. Santé!
