I had a flat tire. I want to the closest bike repair in google maps and they didnt have the right tube and also gave me a face for not scheduling an appointment (for a flat tire!!) so I had to go to the next closest place THIS ONE
They were AMAZING. so nice and helpful, I only wish this place was closest to my house so I could make it my go to place when ever I need a bike thing. So efficient, smiling, helping just WOW

Having opened fairly recently I wanted get my bike serviced at Neron to see what kind of service their mechanics offered. I don’t want to get into all the details, but my experience with their service department was terrible and I ended up taking my by elsewhere. A friend recently had to bring his bike back three times and they still weren’t able to fix his problem, which was eventually solved quickly elsewhere. So, I’m afraid I can’t recommend this shop.

I went to Cycle Neron to get my bike repaired and the woman in repairs was EXTREMELY rude to me.
She basically told me my bike was a piece of junk that was not worth their time, literally saying (in an annoyed and condescending tone):
«This bike is worth less than the price of repairs ($ 120), why don’t you just buy a new one.»
When I said, «I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend, where can I get something for around the same price», she said, «I hear Kijiji and Craigslist have some good options.»
OUCH!
On top of that, she advised that it would take them MORE THAN A WEEK (10 days) to do a few simple repairs (change the tires and get new brakes).
My bike is very precious to me and although it might not be the best bike on the road, it suits me just fine and has done so for more than 10 years. I get it professionally tuned up once a year and replace anything out of date with new parts as required. Not to mention, anything on Craigslist/​Kijiji for around $ 120 is gonna need another $ 120 worth of repairs anyway — so her suggestion was just mean, not useful.
My goal was to get my bike fixed and back on the road asap, not to be treated like a nuisance and told how shitty it is…
I left my bike there feeling I had no other options, but a few days later I found out about Allo Velo (also in St. Henri), so I emailed them a copy of my work order from Cycle Neron, explained them the situation, and they told me they could do the same repairs for less with a 48 hour turnaround time!
The next day I went back to Neron to get my bike back and bring it to Allo Velo instead.
In Cycle Neron’s defense, the girl working that day was A LOT nicer than the girl the first day, I told her I needed my bike back and she kindly went to retrieve it for me — wayyy at the back where it had been gathering dust since I dropped it off 4 days prior.
Allo Velo were super friendly and accommodating, never insulted my bike, matched the price of Cycle Neron, and got the repairs done almost a week sooner. There is no contest in my books.
Suggestion to Cycle Neron is this: In busy summer season, hire more repair people to keep up with the volume of repairs! Then maybe the workers wouldn’t be so overworked as to treat the customers and their bicycles like annoying pieces of trash.

Recently purchased a bike from an individual and ended up at my local bike shop to get a nice little front basket as any bike would need. The guys working were very nice, informed and sociable. Although they only sell specialty bikes, they repair all bikes. They also do special orders for parts and accessories. As I am new to the whole «bike» thing they were nice enough to throw 4 complimentary reflectors my way (the ones I would otherwise get a ticket without!). Peter (mechanic) was more than happy to answer my questions about how to avoid getting tickets and how to lessen my chances of getting my bike stolen. They also had specials on different levels of tune-​ups and after searching online it seems they have very reasonable prices. I can guarantee this will be the only shop I’ll be bringing my bike to.
**Their hours change seasonally so call ahead to be safe.

J’ai fait pas mal de boutiques de vélo à Montréal et je dois dire que j’ai enfin trouvé ma boutique et que je n’en changerais plus!
La boutique de la rue de Courcelle est la 3e boutique de Cycle Néron après Boucherville et Brossard.
J’y suis allée deux fois et j’en suis sortie ravie à chaque fois. En plus c’est près de chez moi et je suis fière de supporter les commerces de mon quartier.
Le personnel bien qu’anglophone fait l’effort de parler en français dès qu’ils s’apercoivent que vous êtes francophone.
Une petite précision: ils né vendent que des vélos de la marque Specialized mais réparent les vélos de toute marque.
La première fois j’y suis allée pour un changement de chaine. J’ai laissé mon vélo le matin et je suis revenue le chercher quelques heures plus tard. La facture était vraiment très correcte. Le vendeur s’est souvenu de mon prénom et à pris le temps de discuter, ce qui m’a fait me sentir la bienvenue.
La deuxième fois j’y suis retournée pour faire ajuster un dérailleur. Avec mon copain nous avons acheté des vélos chez un concurrant (la seule raison étant que je voulais absolument un triple plateau mais quasiment plus aucun fabricant n’en fait actuellement), le dérailleur n’avait pas été ajusté correctement et dès la première randonnée il était clair qu’il né pouvait continuer de rouler comme ça. Nous avions été très décus du service dans l’autre boutique et avons décidé de né plus y retourner. Nous sommes donc allés chez Cycle Néron. Je pensais devoir revenir mais le mécanicien s’est tout de suite occupé du vélo. En 10 minutes le problème était réglé. En plus il a réajusté les freins et remis de l’air dans les pneus. Le service nous été offert avec la promesse de revenir une prochaine fois si nous avions d’autres ajustments/​réparations à faire!
Par ailleurs Cycle Néron organise gratuitement des sorties de filles tous les lundi soirs, des sorties pour tous les mercredi soirs et dimanche matins avec différents groupes de niveau ainsi que des ateliers de mécanique tous les dimanches! Idéal pour se familiariser avec son vélo et apprendre différentes techniques de peloton, grimpette et autres.
Il est simple de trouver une boutique où acheter un vélo mais beaucoup moins d’en trouver une avec un service de qualité et qui vous transmette la passion du vélo!
