I bought my wedding dress, veil and headpiece from Château de la Mariee Nadia. Since you have to go a few times for fittings, etc. I had a variety of experiences each time. My first visit with my Mother, well of course I got good service, I was ready to buy. The lady who helped me was nice but she did not speak any English. I am not perfectly bilingual and my mother doesn’t speak French so it was certainly a challenge for me to do the translating considering I am no expert. We got through it though and she was very nice. She said even if I think I find«the one», I need to try on at least a few others, which is what I did. The one we did end up choosing was the best and frankly two months after the wedding I am STILL obsessed with it. lol! My current profile photo is the dress. It is black & white which was the color theme of the wedding. They had a TON of choice. This is the place to go if you want VARIETY. They did reduce the price but what do I know… they may have marked it up, regardless it was $ 2,000 total, which I guess is average? Again, what do I know. Ha! On my second visit, for the 1st fitting with my soon-to-be-mother-in-law, the service wasn’t so hot. I was sent upstairs to get my dress then was sent back downstairs to get it. It was only a few months to the wedding and the lady said to me, «Oh we were just going to ship off to our storage»… I was like, «Um, why?» It was so weird. Once I brought my own dress upstairs, we had to wait almost 15 minutes(maybe even longer) for someone to come help us. I put my dress on by myself, no help with zipper at the back or anything. Eventually a woman came by and the seamstress came to see me a bit after that. The alterations should somehow be included with the cost of the dress. Just to hem the front(NOT even all the way around), was $ 350.00. Yes I know, I think I got screwed there. And to put the train up with ties under the back of the dress was $ 75.00. Figure that one out? The way they put the ties made the dress go up so beautifully — they could have charged more for that and less for the hem. Again, I dunno, I’m not in the wedding dress business. My last fitting was good. I was helped almost right away, it didn’t take them long to get my dress and I had assistance putting on the dress & doing up the zipper. It was actually a very quick visit. The alterations looked good and the dress fit perfectly. On the day of the wedding however, I found the dress to still be long in length because I was stepping on it a bit, lol. Oh well, that can happen. At least I didn’t step on it and fall in front of everybody walking down the aisle. LMAO. Despite the ups & downs I experienced at Château de la Mariee Nadia, I would still recommend this bridal store to any lady who’s looking for a wedding dress. I still have my dress and I will always have it, forever. Thanks for reading!
