History

Established in 1995.

Café Epoca opened its doors 18 years ago, in May 1995. It began as an evening hot spot in the multi-cultural metropolitan that is Montréal.

With frequent trips to Italy, voyages that began as a 13-year-old child, the owner’s passion for food was cultivated. The year 2001 marks the beginning of a new identity where food becomes a central part and where Café Epoca is known as one of Montréal’s best kept secret.

The small hometown of San Benedetto del Tronto, in the province of Le Marche, serves as his inspiration. The mostly small, yet vibrant agricultural holdings produce wine, cereals and olives. With this tradition in mind, the owner has made garlic, olive oil and fresh basil the focal ingredients in Epoca’s kitchen.
