First time here. There was a long line up before my turn but customers didn’t seen to mind. I heard kids asking their parents for the plain buns so it’s definitely a good sign! I asked the server to give me a box of their most popular pastries and bread. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Prices seem reasonable, too! Portuguese buns were still warm when I got home. I couldn’t help but ate one plain(even though I already had lunch). WOW! Haven’t had one like that since I was a kid at a friend’s house fresh from the oven. Bun was still warm, had a slightly savoury light crust and soft light chewy quality bread inside. Now I can’t wait to try my pastries later. When it comes to good bakeries, I take quality over quantity any day!

the best place in Mississauga to get all you’re treats and goodies, the location is really easy to get to, with a lot of parking. the staff are super friendly, and very clean. lots of room to eat and enjoy a cup of coffee, speaking of which, some of the best cups of coffee I have had at this location, which is great for a pick-me-up. often times, when I’m craving the«nata» I go in and buy a couple dozen, and the looks on the cashiers face is always priceless, well worth going out of you’re way to experience. the price, the service, and everything about this location, makes it a benchmark caldense, for all the others to follow.

Not sure what others see in this bakery . I came in here on Monday 11am there where a few local men there acting abnoxious . They had some bread there not sure if it was fresh but there was only one employee there so no sure how fresh anything is. Most bakerys I go to smell like hot bread and you see more then one person working there making pasterys. I did not get this from this place. The girl that made my expresso was very nice . Coffee was not the best or worst I had it was okay.

I’ve been craving empanadas lately and I don’t know where to get them! So I called some bakeries to find out who may serve something similar. After three calls, I ended up calling Caldense and the girl on the phone was bubbly and polite. She explained that they do not have empanadas per se, but they have small meat, shrimp or fish patties. Close enough. So I went over, there were no meat patties, so I ordered a couple of the shrimp patties and codfish balls(I thought that was gonna be a patty too). Anyway, it certainly was not an empanada, the dough is some soft with a very crunchy thin layer. The cod fish balls weren’t actually balls, but were torpedo shaped. It’s a good snack for $ 1.15 each. Very friendly and fast service.

they have a good bread selection, good custard tarts, but most of the time horrible customer service, you can stand there for ages no will ever bother to say Hi. or «ill be right with you» that being said if you feel like decent bakery food… this would be a good option

4.5÷5! I love this place! My mom and I had tried Brazilian bakery a few years back and have been wanting to come here ever since. Very friendly service and they have a good selection of items(seriously wish I could have stomached a bit of everything, it all looked delicious!). Bathroom is also very clean and I thought it was so cute that the servers knew majority of their customers’ orders as they walked in. So! They’ve got mostly sweet pastries ranging from cakes to sweet crescents but you’ve also got a side with a deli and cheese if you want them to make you a sandwich. They also serve coffee and hot drinks! We ended up getting a dessert each and then one to share: tiramisu(I’m a lover of tiramisu and this one was a bit light but I loved that… my mom would have preferred it to be a bit richer), coffee cake(excellent! I’m also a coffee lover and this was perfect; the taste wasn’t too strong but it had the perfect coffee hint to it), and a brownie with nuts(very rich brownie, a bit chewy for my liking but still delicious). All together was $ 8 which I think is pretty reasonable; we were stuffed! Definitely coming back for the crescents and I really recommend you do too :)

Maybe it’s just me or maybe it was bad timing, but I found it weird that I was the 2nd person in line but the 4th person served. Given, there were no instructions on where to line up and maybe I just have to be more aggressive because when they said«who’s next», I didn’t want to be rude and say«me». So I waited about 10 – 15 minutes to be served. I was bored and had time, so it was okay. I ordered a shrimp puff, Portuguese custard tart and a moccacino. The shrimp puff was very average and I much prefer Nova, but the custard tart was very good. The custard was very tasty however I found the crust to be a bit hard. I also really liked their moccacino. 4⁄5 for food, however loses one star for disorganized service.

Best Portuguese Custard Tart in Mississauga hands down! I used to go to the location open on Dundas & Dixie, until they changed owners. The rotisserie chicken & Cod fish pie(Bacalau) never disappoints. I highly recommend this place for authentic European goods.

This place is walking distance from my home I never been there, till I read the reviews and every one was talking about there custard tarts! So I pulled in the plaza wonder how would it be!!! I step in and find a place to sit and to my horror I see that they only have one custard tarts left for the day… BAM I ran to order quick before some one steals it. Well the rush was successful and worth it. Ok story time is over! lets get down to logistics. Parking is great as its a plaza! Seating — Plenty of seating available in the shop. Service — was quick and fast. Food — they had various breads, Cakes, Hot drinks, baked goods and much more. We had their Latte and Cappuccino, I would say not bad this is as close to Italy as I can get. Now the custard tart! WOW its full of texture and flavor, you would love to have a sweet bite. It crispy from the out side and soft and sweet from the inside. I did see breakfast on the menu. I will definitely go back! to try some more stuff

The service is friendly, atmosphere feels at home and food is pretty good. But expensive for what it is. The custard tarts, which I definitely recommend, are amazing. That’s what they’re known for. It’s $ 1.20 each.

These guys have the best Portuguese custard tarts around. The pastry is so flaky, buttery and light and the custard filling is a nice pudding consistency with a slight crème brûlée carmelization thing happening on the top. The filling is sweet but not overly sweet as they tend to make it at other bakeries. Also their buns are really awesome. If you have ever been to Porchetta and Co and had one of their sandwiches you will know how epic their buns are.

I went here while waiting for my meal from Zita’s to be prepared and though this small little bakery seem a bit subdued, the flavour of the Portuguese tart is anything but tame! I was pleasantly wow’ed by the flavour, texture, and low costs of this yummy treat. I arrived early evening and ordered 2 Portuguese tarts from the fairly large selection of pastries. The ladies serving me were warm and friendly and offering ideas of what I could buy next. They were good at describing the yummy items that I saw and pointed at. These tarts are not small… they seem to be larger than the egg tarts I get from the Chinese bakeries. The crust was a nice buttery texture. It had the right blend of being crispy but also soft. It was so nice to bite into it. The custard was sweet but not overly eggy or sugary either. It wasn’t a gel like texture but a nice smooth melt in your mouth feel. It also had some nice burnt sugar caramelized flavour on the top. Considering they were $ 1.20 each, I think that is a steal compared to other bakeries who have charged $ 1.75 per tart. I really want to go back and try more items. This is a definite winner for me!
