Sporting Life is hard to miss; you can easily see the sign outside Markville, and Sporting Life is shown prominently in many of the signs across the mall.
Despite the large size of the store, Sporting Life has a lot of employees who work inside, and it’s usually not hard to find one if you need assistance. This store carries a lot of outdoor and sporting essentials, and thanks to the large size of this store there’s a lot more variety than other Sporting Life stores.
The prices can be a little bit on the high side, but honestly it’s around the expected range for outdoor clothing. If you want to have an awesome deal inside Sporting Life, come during any of their major clearance events (Black Friday or Boxing Day).
Again, service is excellent in this Sporting Life location despite the fact this place gets busy and the fact this store is quite big. You can easily find someone who can be of your assistance, and I found the cashiers to be quick and efficient in processing your check out.

As a former «regular client» of the Sherway store, I went to this location in early July (we got a second property in the Markham area) to inquire about a Canada Goose Burnett Jacket but was informed it was out of stock. The nice SA (Allison — I think) who was assisting me got my details and had me on her waiting list. 3 weeks later she gives me a call to tell me my jacket is in. I went back, tried the jacket, along with other styles that I kinda liked, but in the end settled for this one. My original SA wasn’t in but was helped by two great dudes (one tall Asian guy wearing glasses and one tall south Asian guy).
I highly recommend this store due to the great staff who go the extra mile to assist. I know they earn some sort of commission (as explained by my regular SA at Sherway) but I never felt rushed or pressured in making a purchase.
Will be back and will recommend to everyone I know

I have been shopping at their Yonge Street location for years and so excited that they finally opens up at Markville Mall.
The store is just so spacious and loves their selection especially their outerwear. Some of the items might be on the pricey side: $ 3700 for one of the jacket that I like. :) But there are also more reasonably priced one at 50% off. So many to choose from. This is the place I would get mine.

Great store, excellent selection, awesome staff from my experiences. I’m glad they opened up a Sporting Life north of the city. Looking forward to coming back here during the sales, because at regular price the stuff they have can be on the pricier end.

Came in the first day it opened and I will say it was moderately packed but for good reason. All associates on the floor were there willing to help if you needed a size or just had any general inquiries. They were all also quite friendly and approachable — initiating conversations, making small-​talk, asking if we were finding everything just fine, etc. The space is huge and they had plentiful arrangements of luxury brands with great prices — all seem pricey but obviously you are paying for the brand names and material if you are willing to shed that kind of money, by all means do so but be smart with your wallet! Because the store just opened, all the garments were new and mostly untouched — throughout the year I’m sure most things will have been tried on at least once but honestly, I’m so glad and thankful they finally brought a Sporting Life here in Markham — as I always had to venture out to Sherway Gardens just to be able to grab a new jacket for the Fall and Winter seasons. Great addition I must say, to the Markville mall. Definitely will recommend this business to all my friends and family.
